Malucu Marruma
Description
Located twenty minutes south of Pemba International Airport, Malucu Marruma offers guests an exclusive stay in a stunning waterfront property. Spread over 18 hectares, the land is covered with cashew, frangipani, mango, flame, almond and boabab trees. It also has 1km of private beach. You can stay in a large bungalow that sleeps four, plus there is an additional two safari tents, two bathrooms, a kitchen, entertainment area, an Argentina parrilla (BBQ) and study/playroom/lounge room. The space One of the striking things about the property is the beauty of the land. Its a special place used for prayer by the local Murrebue village people, who gave it the name “Malucu Marruma” in their native Macua dialect from the sound (Marruma) the waves make against the rocks (Malucu) at high tide. During your stay you will have complete use of the whole property which includes access to our chicken and goat farm, on-site fruit and vegetable gardens, or at any time one of our local fishmongers can come by with the daily catch of fresh fish, prawn, lobster or mud crab. Everything you need can be arranged by our extremely talented property manager (and your host) Pedro, who manages a team of twenty gardeners, animal keepers, carpenters, domestic workers and security guards who will be there all the time, whenever you need them. Pedro is also available 24/7. Your accommodation will consist of a small collection of thatch roof buildings, all built by hand by our on-site team. The master bungalow has two bedrooms with two king size beds, a bathroom and a desk area. A stone's throw away you will find a large kitchen which opens up to the entertainment area with dining for twelve, the Argentine parrilla (BBQ) and a standalone bathroom. There is also 'coma coma', an indoor dining table for eight with a lounge, which is used during rain or to avoid mosquitoes. The two safari tents are available for large groups, both with king size beds, and these can be used for an additional USD $20 / night. Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be pre-organized (extra cost) with at least 1 day in advance, please connect with me on email or Pedro on site. Various options available. We can connect you to car-hire as well. Pemba and it's surroundings is full of activities such as Kite Surfing, diving, snorkeling, endless food options and beautiful beaches to explore and markets/villages to stroll though - don't hesitate to ask us where/what to do. Other things to note We are located in a remote beautiful area of Mozambique. Even though we have access to (almost) everything, letting us know in advance preference and needs will allow us to accomodate and source for these better. Please contact via email and let us know of food/beverage/special needs and we will try our best to match them. Thanks!
