Rosclave Lodge, Newport, Co. Mayo, is located on the tip of a peninsula facing west on Clew Bay in an EU designated Special Area of Conservation, the highest grade for protected locations. The space The Lodge has an open plan living area with a vaulted ceiling and pine beams overhead and French doors opening onto a deck overlooking the bay with views of Clare Island to the west and the Nephin Mountain range. The second pair of French doors opens onto the south facing stone terrace and has views of Croagh Patrick, the sacred mountain St. Patrick meditated on for forty days. Inside, there is a comfortable couch, armchair, and pitch pine dining table which can seat six+. The kitchenette has a stainless steel sink, fridge freezer, Neff oven, gas hob, extractor, dishwasher, and granite worktop and splash back. There is a cast-iron solid fuel stove in the corner of the room. The master bedroom has a 5’bed, large built-in wardrobe, and a bathroom-en-suite with a bath and wall mounted shower. The second bedroom has two 3’ beds which can be zipped and linked to form a single king size bed if required. The bathroom next to this bedroom which can double as a guest loo has an enclosed shower. There is also a utility room with a sink, granite worktop, washer/dryer, ironing board, hoover, etc. Under floor heating throughout the Lodge can be adjusted. Full strength Wi-fi included. Other things to note Access to the lodge is a raised gravel road along the shore with a breakwater of large blocks of limestone which can occasionally be briefly covered by a spring tide.
