Guesthouse in Montpelier

Welcome to your cozy studio in beautiful Montpelier, Vermont. We live 3 miles out of town. The views are stunning. There are hiking and skiing trails out your door. We built this apartment above our garage in 2015. It's detached from our house and private. It features two single beds, a fold-out full size futon, a couch, and a bathroom with a composting toilet. We also have an outdoor shower with hot water! All people are welcome here! We look forward to hosting you. The space We love living so close to Vermont's state capitol and yet surrounded by beautiful forests, meadows, and mountain views. Our house is just across a walkway from the apartment, but you will likely not see us as the two spaces are private and separate from each other. There are many ponds, lakes, rivers and swimming holes near us. We have a canoe you can borrow. There are also quite a few incredible mountain hikes nearby. If you want to go for a walk in the woods, you can always just head out the studio door and explore the many miles of trails behind our house. We love the food in downtown Montpelier and especially enjoy our local Natural Foods Co-op and the Saturday Farmers Market. There are great restaurants that offer anything from amazing local food to craft beer and cocktails. We're only 30 miles from Burlington if you want to explore another city and about the same distance from Stowe as well. We're happy to make recommendations for you if you let us know what you're looking for during your time in Vermont. Guest access We have a wood fired cedar sauna that's part of this studio apartment. If you would like to use the sauna as part of your stay, message us and let us know. For an additional charge of $25 per sauna, you can add this amenity to your stay. I am a culinary medicine educator and personal chef. If you would like a meal prepared for you as part of your stay, you can let me know! For an additional charge of $15 per person, I would be happy to prepare breakfast or a picnic lunch that meets your dietary needs. Other things to note Thank you for your consideration!
