I am an avid skier (downhill and back country), mountain biker, world traveler, former US tour guide, and an overall "vacation expert" (I worked in the resort/ hospitality industry for over thirty years). This location is centrally located and within a ten minute drive, or less, from virtually all the major sites in the south shore of Lake Tahoe!. The house is nestled at the end of a quiet, sunny culdesac surrounded by national forest so even though the location is so close to everything in South Lake Tahoe, you feel like you are staying in a peaceful location surrounded by nature. This location is excellent! Hiking, biking and cross country ski trails are right out your front door. The forest is right next to the home...a great, safe, and convenient place for small kids to play and even sled in the wintertime! The outdoor hot tub is located right up against the forest as well with a unique private, quiet setting. The Truckee river and beautiful meadows are a five minute walk from the house. Most of my neighbors are full time residents in a very nice neighborhood so I do encourage guests to be peaceful and conscious of others nearby. Heavenly Valley ski area, major shopping, the downtown area and the Stateline casinos are all located within a 10 minute drive or less! 30 minute drive to Kirkwood, twenty minute drive to Sierra At Tahoe and a quick easy exit when leaving town. A perfect central location where you can enjoy the private Tahoe wilderness experience out your front door but have the convenience of all that South Lake Tahoe has to offer only minutes away! Awesome walking and cross country ski trails right out the front door down to meadows, truckee river. There is no bus service that goes directly to the house but there is "Blue Go" bus transportation downtown (only a ten minute drive away) that is available throughout the entire south shore of Lake Tahoe. Uber drivers can pick you up right from the house and drive you into town for a very minimal cost, if necessary. A four wheel drive with snow tires or chains are always recommended here in the wintertime. Self check-in with keypad. Door code and hot tub code will be given to you (via air bnb app, text or phone call) on the day of check-in as soon as the house has been confirmed to be cleaned by house cleaners.
