Casa Los Nidos is the perfect get-away for you and your friends or family. Our back yard extends onto miles of sandy beach to the South and a mix of rocks, tide pools and beach to the North. The ocean is perfect for boogie boarding and cooling off during warm days. We are situated on the most tranquil end of Troncones Beach, just 5 minutes from the village by car or bicycle and many great restaurants. If you like to surf, there's surfing at Saladita Beach, just 20 minutes to the North. Casa Los Nidos means "House of the Nests". Our house feels like a loving nest! We have 2 king-sized suites, plus an inflatable queen mattress. We have a fully stocked kitchen, and a patio that covers our dining room and living room areas. The downstairs bedroom has a newly installed A/C, creating a comfortable, cool space for relaxation. It is a great place to land and let go of all the responsibilities of life. There are so many options as to how you spend your time. You can laze in the sun or the shade, lie in a hammock under the palm trees, play in the ocean, explore the tide pools, ride a bike, kayak in the local lagoon, go fishing, stroll along the beach, go horseback riding, surf at Saladita Beach, take yoga classes at one of the yoga studios along the beach and walk or ride a bike into the village. Fresh fruit and vegetables are available in the village and fish can be purchased daily if you like to cook your own meals, or you can eat out at any number of restaurants....some with live music and dancing. Take a bus or cab into Zihuatanejo and browse the craft market, the fresh produce market, and check out the night life. You have full use of the entire house, including two ensuite king sized bedrooms, kitchen, living area and dining area, as well as miles of beach to explore! We have a manager, Luis, who will greet you upon your arrival and give you the keys. He is very friendly and helpful and speaks perfect English. He will make sure that all your needs are taken care of. Troncones is a small, authentic Mexican village, with grocery stores & craft shops. It began as a fishing village, and has grown over the years with the permanent residents being approx. 600. There are no high rises, no big businesses, only lots of beautiful homes and restaurants along the beach. We have parking on our property for one car (which you can rent at the airport), and available parking on the street. There are a couple of bicycle rental businesses in the village, which is how we like to get around. You can catch a bus at the South end of town into Zihuatanejo, and there are taxis easily available. During the rainy season (mid-August to the end of October) there can be storms that usually only last a few hours. Since our house is indoor/outdoor, the open areas are subject to getting a bit wet. However, the temperature is hot and everything dries out within a few hours. We have recently installed waterproof drapes that can be drawn across the open areas, so as to minimize any inconvenience. Our Gardener (Ramon), and our Housekeeper (Tali) work on the property 3 days a week. Ramon takes care of the outdoor environment, sweeping, raking and watering the trees and plants. Tali cleans the house from top to bottom, takes care of the laundry and anything else that needs doing. They arrive at around 8:00am and leave at around 12:00pm. Their schedule changes occasionally, but they generally work on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
