Country Cottage in a remote park-like setting

Rustic, homey, cottage in remote country 5 acre setting with lots of trees & wildlife, just 2 miles outside of town. Easy drive from Coos Bay and Bandon - far enough inland to avoid the wind and fog. Enjoy beaches during day, unplug and snuggle up next to wood fire to watch movies at night. Family and elderly friendly. Like a camp experience but with conveniences. 4G & WIFI avail. Large windows and full kitchen. Master separate from 2 bedrooms, all with closets. Monthly welcome. The space This is a smoke free property (see house rules). Housekeeping is provided on checkout. We don't ask you to do laundry or make beds. The cottage is a single story, comfortable home with 3 large bedrooms and open concept living/dining/kitchen area. Bedrooms with dressers and closets, full equipped kitchen, laundry, and cleaning supplies included for a week or month stay. Wood and laminate floors throughout - easy for strollers and wheels. No steps, and covered concrete walkway from driveway to porch accommodates seniors, and makes it a breeze to wheel in luggage and strollers. It is an older home, with farm and country decor, and may not be a good fit if you are looking for new and modern. Typical daytime weather is low 70s in the summer, 50s in the winter. The house has ceiling and window fans and an ocean breeze in the afternoons. Very rarely are temps over 85, or under 30. Air conditioner available for those rare hot days. Heat pump and bedroom heaters in winter. Desk with room for a laptop and 6 USB chargers in living room for all your devices and there is 3 MB DSL Wifi Internet access. The bathrooms are supplied with a shower/tub, hairdryer, clean towels, shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, soaps, TP. There is a large flat TV and a small video library for your entertainment needs, along with board games, books, cards, puzzles. Fire up the wood-burning stove for extra heat when unwinding on the couches after a long day of exploring the coast, fishing, or hiking the woods. Extra blankets, pillows, 2 twin and one queen inflatable mattresses, and bedding are in the closet. The white kitchen offers an abundance of counter space and everything you'll need to prepare a delicious meal with stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, drip coffee pot, toaster oven, popcorn popper, dishes, pans, utensils, spices, cooking amenities, and dish soap. Just bring the groceries! Seating for 4 or 5 around the table, and 3 at the counter. The cottage has a large covered porch with a porch swing, plenty of seating, outdoor table and a gas grill available for your use. Also a fire pit (chiminea) for evening roasting of marshmallows and making smores (when allowed by fire restrictions). Pets are subject to approval. Please contact owner and tell about your pets, how many, breed and size, BEFORE booking. Are they up to date on shots? There is no dog run, so also need to be house friendly. A small pet bed is available. Please bring pet bed or dog carrier, to keep off of couches and beds. This is in the country. Neighbors have dogs which will bark, roosters crowing, cows and horses are also heard, and there is a shooting range around the bend. But it is still quieter than most cities with very little traffic noise. Guest access Separate keyed entry to entire house with lockbox and the master also has a door out to porch. Plenty of free parking available in front or behind house. Can even park your RV or a truck with boat attached, but there are no hookups for RV. Circular drive makes parking easy. Owner has an adjacent apartment (a garage conversion) that is close to the house, but there are no shared spaces. She does not live there full time, and is rarely there. She will let you know if going to be there over a weekend during the booking. Other things to note 4G Cell service is available with Verizon, AT&T, and T Mobile. Water is from a well and we request that you conserve it during the summer (July - Oct). This just means 5 minute showers, turn off faucet while shaving and brushing teeth, no use of hose outside, and 1 load of laundry. This house is in the country, and in a forest area, and comes with country issues like roosters crowing and the occasional spider and pests. We use pest control, but it is never 100 percent effective in the country. The area is quiet at night, but during the day you will hear dogs barking, birds, saws, mowers, tractors, roosters, chickens, cows, horses and other country noises.
