El Oasis will pamper you, enjoy the beauty beach
Be pampered at El Oasis. A beautiful well-kept house and grounds on the beach with a thatched roof gazebo (rancho) at waters edge with hammocks to take that well deserved nap, read a book or just listen to the waves. At the same time the caretakers are there to attend to your needs. What to have breakfast/dinner just tell Marina what you would like and she'll prepare it for you and you can enjoy it while looking at the ocean and the pelicans flying by. She's not a gourmet cook, but good. The space You of course have to provide the ingredients or have them buy them. But having your own cook/waiter and bellboy is a great luxury. The beach is beautiful and solitary. You can walk for miles and may not see a person on it. Swim with no worries. Maculis, is one of the safest if not the safest in El Salvador. You may not know that the Pacific ocean is not really pacific. It can be very dangerous with big waves and rip tides. In Maculis, however, because of a natural rock breakwater some 600 meters out to sea there are no big waves or rip tides. So that it is a very safe beach. Or you and your children can play in the tide pools. Masks and googles are available to be able to see the ocean life in these tide pools. It's not the Caribbean but they are fun and interesting especially for the small ones. There is also a ocean turtle sanctuary. To insure that continued existence of ocean turtles a non-profit has set up a nursery close to El Oasis where the turtle eggs hatch and once the turtles are strong enough are released into the ocean. Ask the caretaker if it is the season and if there are any babies. He will be glad to arrange for you to see when they are released if available. . At the same time though, if you are interested in surfing with the kayaks you can paddle out around the rock breakwater and go the next beach up and you can find good surfing waves. There is also a boat trip to the Gulf of Fonseca, that is not expensive and is a very enjoyable day trip. The caretaker can help set it up. If you are interested in fishing we can help you rent a “panga” to go out and catch red snapper, groupers or other fish in the area. As you can see from the pictures and the comments on the page the house is beautiful and very well maintained. The couple that live on the property will be cleaning up (sweeping, making beds, cleaning bathroom) and if you like can assist you with the cooking, washing, helping to get fresh fish or any other chore or need you may have. Since we live in ES if there is anything you need you can give us a call. We can help you get the provisions you need on your way to the house. Marina, the wife of the caretaker can cook up a great roasted whole fish for you. Also does a good job with breakfasts. Also, if you are interested in touring around the country visiting a coffee farm or Mayan ruins, I can help you out to get a guide and car. There is not much going on around the house. There is a small town, Tamarindo, with fisherman going and coming at the end of the road. You can make a 1/2 day trip to La Union to pick up more groceries and go to the market place. One last thing that is important about the house is that this area is about the only area in ES that has treated water from the national water company. Most of the beach houses in ES have well water that may or may not be safe to drink and something during the year can have a sulfuric smell to it.
