AllaTanTou Dance-Percussion Island Retreat - Makru

Adventure trip to Roume Island! We annually host a culturally unique experience at Alla Tan Tou Dance & Percussion Retreat on Roume Island (Îles de Loos), Guinea, West Africa. Our retreat is located off the coast of the capital City of Conakry. We offer comfort in a rustic setting. Located a stones throw from a beautiful lagoon with plenty of scenic views, you will have the chance to leave daily modern life stresses behind and find respite on the Atlantic Ocean. The space There are 12 rooms at the villa with 8 designated for Airbnb guests. Guest rooms are all similar and are furnished with a queen size bed and have mosquito net over the windows. You may want to bring another net to be hung over the bed. If you prefer 2 beds, that can be arranged given we have 2-3 weeks notice. Two of the toilets are European style and 1 is African style. The shower is outside and is also African style - a bucket of water and conch shell for rinsing off. Other things to note Group classes in drumming, dance and yoga are often available for an additional fee of about $12. Private classes can be arranged as well. Discounts available for multiple classes. Please bring your own yoga mat. Two bottles of water are provided and following that you may purchase water and other drinks on the island. Breakfast is included and other meals can be arranged for approximately $5 each. Fruit, vegetables, rice and fish and eggs comprise the diet on the island.
