The Gorgeous Apartment is situated in our private Kimurimuri Villa right on the beach at one of Zanzibar's most beautiful authentic corners. The Villa is surrounded by a very lush tropical garden, the perfect place for nature lovers who want to inhale Zanzibar's beauty beyond the typical hotel walls. The apartment is serviced with a deep-water pool, 24-hour security, generator backup, fresh water showers, free drinking water, and free shopping trips. We also help organize local island tours. The space The two-bedroom beach apartment features two en-suite bedrooms on the ground floor with tailor-made king-size beds. These bedrooms have two separate entrances and terraces that lead into a lush beach garden with comfortable hammocks and a deep-water pool. The second floor offers a spacious living area with another king-size bed and an attached bathroom, providing scenic views over the entire beach bay. It also includes a fully equipped kitchen. All rooms are equipped with air conditioners, ceiling fans, and pedestal fans. The apartment accommodates 4-6 people. The accommodation is for self-caterers only. (We will not provide a chef) Our lush tropical beach garden invites guests to relax and to do simply nothing. We have lots of hammocks and swings that allow you to watch the turquoise tides of the Indian Ocean, the swaying coconut trees and the beautiful butterflies while listening to the humming sounds of the many colorful birds. Our Kimurimuri garden also features a spacious outdoor area for joint barbecuing, dining and socializing. Our deep water pool is an excellent place to have a dip to cool down, relax with family, or simply unwind in the peaceful surroundings. Our internet is a SIM-based 4G connection that depends on the island network and weather conditions. It works totally fine for us. However if you are expecting a high speed internet connection for 24-hour video calls and constant streaming, we recommend you to organize your own connectivity setup. If larger groups book the whole villa they will literally book a small resort for themselves. Other things to note Location & setting The villa is located in a more remote area. This is one of the reasons many guests choose to stay with us, for peace, privacy, and distance from busy tourist zones. Please note that there is no supermarket in Pongwe. Well-stocked supermarkets can be found in the neighboring town Kiwengwa, where you will find everything you may need. We will assist you with shopping arrangements. Internet Internet access is provided via a SIM-based 4G connection and depends on the island’s network and weather conditions. It works well for everyday use such as messaging and browsing. If you require high-speed internet for uninterrupted video calls or constant streaming, we recommend arranging your own connectivity solution to best suit your needs. Tides Zanzibar experiences strong tidal changes. These are a natural and beautiful part of the island’s coastal environment and vary throughout the seasons. Water & utilities The villa is equipped with fresh-water showers, which is quite unique for beachfront properties, and complimentary drinking water is provided throughout your stay. Check-in & check-out We kindly ask all guests to respect the official check-in time (after 1:00 PM) and check-out time (by 10:00 AM), as this allows our team sufficient time to prepare the villa. If the villa is unoccupied and ready, an early check-in or late check-out may be possible for an additional fee of 50% of the daily rate. Power & payments Power cuts and load shedding commonly occur on the island (especially during hot seasaon) and are beyond our control. To reduce inconvenience, the villa is equipped with a generator for essential power such as lighting and basic appliances. Please note that air conditioning does not operate while the generator is in use, as it is reserved for essential needs only. Zanzibar is largely a cash-based society.
