Hummingbird Haven - The Perfect Lakeshore Retreat

Enjoy a beach vacation the Michigan way on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan! Tucked in the quiet and charming village of Glenn, this 3-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom cottage is only 15 minutes from bustling South Haven and Saugatuck, two hours from Chicago and STEPS from the lakeshore! It’s a short walk to Glenn for a delicious bite at the diner or general store, or choose to stay in and relax on one of the three decks and cook in the well-appointed kitchen. The space This cottage boasts a private, lush yard and gardens frequented by hummingbirds and other colorful birdlife. The rental features a large master bedroom suite with a private deck, queen-sized bed, and full bath. Two smaller guest rooms sleep additional guests. One has twin bunk beds; the other has a full bed. New premium mattresses on all beds. The cottage is best for smaller groups and we only allow a maximum of 4 adults. Groups of up to 6 people, with children, will fit comfortably. The tongue-and-groove pine walls and vaulted ceilings give a unique and memorable character to the cottage. While originally built in the 1940s, the property has been fully modernized, with 1.5 bathrooms, a living room, a dining room, outdoor shower, and washer/dryer. The cottage is well-appointed and includes a full kitchen, linens and bath towels, soaps and shampoos, games and books, and a television (Netflix and HBO). A screened porch allows guests to enjoy outdoor dining as well as the serenity of the gardens. A gas grill, yard games and ample seating are provided. A 2-minute walk down 114th Street reveals miles of natural Lake Michigan coastline and Glenn Beach. Glenn Beach has historically been a quaint strip of sand with shallow waters ideal for swimming; however, the current high water levels of Lake Michigan have eroded the beach and bluff substantially. Beach access in Glenn may be limited or unavailable during the 2020 season. If there are any questions regarding the beach conditions, please reach out before booking.
