Description

A delightful self contained villa experience right on the shores of the Indian Ocean in an area of outstanding natural beauty. South of Tanga in Tanzania along a secluded beach: no beach boys for sure. The property comes with its own staff: a driver, chef, maids and security. They can serve and prepare all meals and help you buy the ingredients as well as most drinks. Extras such as a masseur, trips to Sand Island and more can be arranged. Rooms are all en-suite. Families very welcome. The space A central villa with 3 double/triple rooms that flank an indoor dining room and an upstairs sitting/TV room that children love especially when tired or too hot from the sun. Extraordinary views out to the swimming pool and beyond to the Indian Ocean. Meals are generally taken under trees and palms on the brilliantly white sand. Opportunities for moonlit suppers on the beach. In addition there are another 5 rooms in annexes from the main complex. These are opened should additional numbers be necessary. The property in total can sleep 19 in dreamy beds equipped with Egyptian cotton bedding, mosquito nets cooled by numerous fans. Meals and drinks are provided by a team of wonderful Tanzanians who aim to give peace and contentment. A masseur can be arranged. Trips to secluded mangroves for sundowners and to a sand island that is often exclusively yours. Most people fly to Tanga or Diani in Kenya. We can arrange transfers from both places or you can self drive. Guest access Guests have complete run of the place. The Beach is quiet and tranquil allowing quiet reflection or space for children to play. The water in front is a shallow water bay where you can walk out to the reef without worrying about coral or urchins. The area is perfect for kite surfing when the wind blows or you can sail and water ski by arrangement. Restaurants and bars are non existent along the beach but you can go for a pizza and a drink at hotels a few kilometres away. The town of Tanga is about 45 minutes away and the smaller town of Pangani about 30 minutes to the south. Saadani National Park is the nearest traditional park where it is possible to see Elephants on the beach. Other things to note It is helpful to have a Swahili phrase book or you can call us. The staff are amazing and will look after every aspect of your stay from pick up in Tanga to meals and drinks. The water is from a well so we encourage eco practices but nevertheless laundry can be done. We provide filtered bottled water for drinking and cooking. The property has standby power and all the rooms have fans. It is important to take malaria prophylaxis purely as a precaution. We like to wear long trousers and loose shirts in the evening after which you will then retire to beds under mosquito nets. We rarely see mosquitos.
