Peaceful secluded guest house in forest property 5 minutes from Orangeville. We have three active dogs who often demand attention! Can be arranged as a two bedroom with privacy or a one bedroom with extra room. King bed in the large bedroom. Double futon in the sitting room. Fabulous bathroom with views. The guest house is 70 feet from main house. Quiet, nice forest walks. NOT a 'corporate Airbnb' - managed by owner. Near Bruce Trail and Hockley. The space Ultimate upscale privacy but conveniently close to town. Views in all directions: gardens, gazebos and forest. Private drive with parking and private entrance. 70 feet away from main house, the apartment is above a well built heavily insulated 3 car garage. Solid oak door and window frames, large windows, stone and laminate floors, well appointed bathroom. The apartment can be set up as two bedrooms (king, double) separated by common sitting/kitchen/bathroom or as a very spacious single bedroom (king) with a separate living room, and a kitchen/bathroom area in the middle. Two entrances enhance the privacy. Bright and spacious and totally private. Property offers 1+ km of walking trails and gazebos for your use. Bruce Trail access points are within a few minutes drive. This is a fabulous accommodation for two couples without children or a couple with two children who want to use it as a base from which to explore the local attractions (Bruce Trail, art studios, fine restaurants, antique stores, golf courses, skiing at Hockley Valley). I've posted some itinerary suggestions in the Neighbourhood Description section. We have dogs who are not allowed in the guest house but will certainly try to gain the affections of visitors. If you are a dog lover, you will love these dogs. If you have concerns about dogs please let me know. Guest access Guests have access to the entire apartment as well as the patio between the guest house and main house and the gazebo attached to that patio. We encourage guests to walk the forest trails but with advice about current wildlife conditions. The area around/behind the main house is private family area. Parking and access is private - come and go as you please. Other things to note The kitchen is not intended to be a full gourmet kitchen. There is a counter top oven. There is a full fridge, an induction cooktop and microwave. Dedicated BBQ for guests. No parties. No pets please (while we do love them, other guests may have allergies to dogs and cats). This is our guest house and the second floor is for our Airbnb guests. Our adult daughter lives on the ground floor. The access is very private, parking is right beside the stairs and there is separation from the ground floor and from the main house, so you can expect quiet and privacy.
