Set in Monterrico Natural Reserve, Dulce y Salado is a cozy, ecofriendly beach hotel, with 8 palmroofed rooms set around a pool and a restaurant with a view onto the black sand and the rolling waves of the Pacific ocean. Relax in a hammock, have a drink on our deck or a meal of fresh seafood at our little restaurant, fall asleep to the sound of the waves. Ideally located, quiet and peaceful, but only 15 min walk to the village of Monterrico, and with a good offer of restaurants and bars closeby. The space Activities: In turtle season, watch the baby turtles make their way to the sea just in front of the hotel. We can help organize relaxing massages, horseback riding, guided tours through the mangrove forest and fishing trips. Ecofriendly: Instead of airconditioning, our bungalows are built with a passive climate control system to keep them cool, and ventilators are available in each room. Also, in order to reduce waste, we offer free drinking water in traditional, naturally cooled ceramic jars, and shampoo in dispensers. Other things to note As is common in tropical climate, Dulce y Salado does not have a water heater for showers. With average high temperatures of 32-34 C during the day and nightly lows of 22-24 C, you will probably not even notice.
