Retreat to a quiet countryside experience at this all organic farm, where you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the country charm of your private space inside the main farm house. Optional for you are joining us for early morning chores in the barn. If you tell me the night before, you can try milking Carmel, the cow by hand, feeding the pig, collecting eggs from the chicken coop and more. Most loved of all are our friendly cats! This organic farm, called FarmWise, is used for educational purposes for kids. From mid-June to mid-August we host week-long farm school for young children. The goal for us is to give kids a hands-on experience of where our food comes from by doing gardening, cooking and animal care with themselves being allowed to participate. Many school classes and other groups also come here during the school year. Now we also offer for you, our nightly visitors, to come and meet all the farm animals in this small setting. We have a 35-acre farm where sheep are roaming the meadows. Our guests may experience the yard, the gardens and fields where they can take walks. We are also close to the Alpine Valley Ski Hill, if you are a skier, and as the farm is on a hill, during the winter our guests can go sledding right here for fun. If you let me know the night before, you can come to the barn and meet all the farm animals in the morning. Please come around the house to meet us in any case! Alpine Valley Ski & Resort is a popular Ski, Golf and Music venue for guests to experience. Lake Geneva has many events as well as other close-by towns. By car we are located: -35 minutes from Milwaukee Mitchell Airport -1 1/2 hours from Chicago O'Hare Airport -10 minutes from Burlington -10 minutes from Lake Geneva -10 minutes from Elkhorn -6 minutes from East Troy, Wisconsin No loud music or partying past 9PM as we are working in the mornings.
