The space Kabantagan Beach House is nestled at the foot of a hill & among coconut trees. Just a few steps away takes you onto a remote stretch of simply stunning, soft sand beach. There are no resorts, guest-houses, bars or restaurants in this area. The closest town is 5kms. Bring your favourite brand of coffee & enjoy breakfasts on the verandah, some chilled wine to watch breath-taking sunsets, enough food and you will enjoy your stay! While close encounters are rare, occasionally you may see some creatures up close. But don’t worry, if you need us, our caretaker is close by, so you can relax and enjoy our nature-filled environment. Jellyfish - Importance of Awareness and Safety If you are travelling to the Philippines, it is important to be aware of marine stingers including the box jellyfish. Some jellyfish are harmless, others have a relatively mild sting, but keep in mind that the box jellyfish’s sting can be painful, dangerous and even lethal. Jellyfish ‘season’ isn’t a fixed period, but rather a time when the risk of encountering these creatures is higher. It usually coincides with warmer months, when jellyfish tend to migrate closer to shore or warm waters, increasing the chances of human encounters. Armed with knowledge and following safety guidelines, you can enjoy the beach with confidence, knowing you’re well-prepared to face any potential encounters. So, keep your eyes open, stay cautious, and have a safe and enjoyable time at the beach even during jellyfish ‘season’!
