Clothing Optional - “Bare House Cottage"

A spacious but cozy cottage nestled among the ponderosa and piñon pines. This mountain retreat offers expansive views and deck space. Borders on Santa Fe National forest and Poleo Creek. Relax in this special getaway... read, hike, nap, stargaze. This cottage is an architectural gem - think "tiny living," with intelligent design. 30 min from beautiful Abiquiu Lake & Georgia O'keefe country. Many activities await the adventurous-at-heart: Hike Pedernal, SUP and mountain bike to name a few :) The space This is one of three cottages on this property... you can rent one or both. The other cottage is also listed on Airbnb: "The Treehouse cottage at Poleo Creek near Abiquiu". Part of the deck space is shared space between the cottages (at times...the other cottage might be occupied while you are there). Remember this is a clothing optional facility...although you might not choose to go without textiles... your neighbors might. We are on the North side of the Jemez Mountains, close to Abiquiu lake and San Pedro park wilderness. This is a remote location. The nearest grocery store or restaurant is 40 miles away. There is a wonderful general store, "Bode's" in Abiquiu, that has everything you might need including groceries, gas, and a small cafe. Be sure to bring food for your stay. The cottage has a full kitchen. There is a queen bed in the bedroom and a queen futon up the ladder in the loft. This ENTIRE PROPERTY (inside and out) is SMOKE FREE. This includes e-cigarettes and any other form of smoking or vaping. No exceptions. No pets. Saunas are inherently dangerous with regard to temperature exposure and risk of burns. Please use cautiously and at your own risk. Airbnb host is not responsible for your actions and or injuries. Guest access Our guests have access to the space they rent plus the common deck space. We are surrounded by Santa Fe National Forest. You can roam below the cottage and venture towards Poleo Creek. Bring your hammock and relax creek-side in your very own forest naturally. You can hike both below the cottages on a trail to the left of the outdoor shower and/or follow the red dot trail to a swing and eventually a bench at the turn around point. Other things to note Just as a reminder this is a very remote location and all amenities are at least 30 mins away (lake, grocery store etc). This is an adult only Airbnb because of nudity. No pets/children.
