How to get to Lumbarda? If you travel on foot, the fastest way from Split is by hydrofoil (2.5h) to the town of Korčula on the Island of Korčula, 6km from Lumbarda.We can pick you up at the town port. Company name is Jadrolinija and tickets can be bought online 24 hours prior departure. There are passenger/car ferries from Split to Vela Luka( 3h), 45km from Lumbarda. A nice new fast road leads to Lumbarda (40min.)We even pick some of our guests coming by ferry in Vela Luka, buses are rare. If you want to drive/come on foot down south to the Peninsula of Pelješac (in front of the Island of Korčula) to Orebić, a ferry sails 15min. to the island, it leaves on an hourly bases.The ferry arrives on the island in the port of Dominče, 5km from Lumbarda. Once in Split you can take a bus/car to Ploče City Center (you have to specify that because you want to take the passenger/car ferry to Trpanj which is on the peninsula of Pelješac, the ferry you want leaves from the city center of Ploče).Some buses pass by Ploče and don't drive into the city center but let you out on the main coastal road, half an hour's walk to the center of Ploče. From Split to Ploče City Center by bus/car about 1,5 hours. From Ploče to Trpanj on the passenger/car ferry it's about 1 hour. From Trpanj to Orebić by bus/car 0,5 hours, during the day there are buses waiting for you to take you from Trpanj to Orebić. From Orebić to Korčula Island on the passenger/car ferry to the port of Dominče, 10 min. From Dominče to Lumbarda 5min.by car.
