Magnificent Kaskazi Beach House

Kaskazi Beach House is located on a white coral beach away from the tourist tracks, just 25 km south of Diani. Shopping/restaurants/golf++ is a 30 minute away, and wildlife safari can be accessed by car or from the Ukunda airstrip close by. You’ll love the magnificent location, the beautiful pool, the refreshing breeze from the ocean , the spacious house and the spread-out tropical garden. Kaskazi is good for couples, families and medium sized groups. Our crew of 5 will take good care of you. The space Kaskazi is the perfect place to get away from the maddening tourist crowd, and just relax under the swaying palm trees, walk the un-spoilt beach where turtles nests, go for a dip in the large pool or in the crystal clear waters of the Indian ocean, enjoy exciting adventures like sailing, snorkeling, river cruise, or visit the beautiful rain forests of Shimba Hills where elephants, antelopes and buffaloes roam.. just less than an hours drive away. The large mansion, Kaskazi, situated on a coral cliff in a large private garden overlooking the coconut groves below and the Indian ocean, is like an exotic palace. The house is kept in Swahili-style. All for your exclusive use. You can choose between 4 stunning dining areas on the edge of the cliff, bonfire areas, or just relax in a poolside sun bed. In the evenings the spread out exotic garden is floodlighted. There is a separate staff house at the property, and our 5 staff (Omari - the Manager, the Chef, the pool/garden-man, the responsible for the main house and the night-guard) will make sure that you have a pleasant stay. We have a petanque/boccia court in the garden. We also have a full size sand volleyball court in the garden, for you to use. There is also plenty of space to play soccer. We do have standard volleyballs and footballs for you to use, if you want match ball class equipment you may bring your preferred ball. Our chef Katana will prepare food for you. If you are a large group and want the possibility to have extra food service, we recommend you to add one more chef in the kitchen - please contact the manager Omari before you arrive, he will arrange this at a small fee (USD 10 / 1.000 KHS pr day). Guest access 6 double bedrooms including one family unit sharing a bathroom between two bedrooms (convenient if you bring children). All other rooms have private bathrooms and large bridal swahili beds (one or two). The master bedroom in the first floor has a large terrace and a separate living room / office, with TV and dvd-player (with lots of films for you to borrow). All the rooms are facing the ocean. Fans and the cooling sea-breeze is usually better than AC. If you still prefer AC, we have installed aircon in 4 of the bedrooms as an option during the night (master bedroom + room 1, 2 and 3). The indoor dining room is spacious, and the veranda/porch in front of the house is a favorite place to gather. Other things to note If you want our Manager to arrange shopping for you, so that foods and drinks are available when you arrive, we have free delivery from the supermarket twice a week. If you want additional help for shopping (for example for frozen food items) then this can be arranged for a small transport fee. We can order fresh seafood for you directly from the local fishermen There is no shopping centers close to the house, so bringing your food or let the Manager arrange the shopping is recommended. If you want to go on Safari in Kenya when visiting this beautiful country, we would recommend you to check out roversafari (Erikson Rover Safaris) - they offer classical Range Rovers or Land Rovers that can get your "anywhere"; you can go with a driver or choose self-drive, and you can stay at lodges or rent camping-equipment from them. This is the "real" safari experience.
