Tropical Paradise is located on a very secluded beach at the North end of Cat Island know as Shannas Bay. If you are looking for seclusion, beautiful beaches, perfect snorkeling, awesome sunsets, and amazing stargazing then this is the place for you. The house sits so close to the water that you will be lulled into the best sleep of your life listening to the waves roll in. Tropical Paradise is know as Pods which are separate cottages all joined together by wrap around decking. The main living area and kitchen are one building in the center of 2 large bedroom on each side. The house has just recently gone through renovations that have updated and brightened the perfect property in the perfect location. The master bedroom has a king size bed and the guest bedroom has 2 queen beds. Each bedroom has a private bath located behind the bedroom with an open air shower. There is a laundry room located to the back of guest bedroom. The ocean and the long beautiful beach We are part time owners and have a home located just down the beach. I am available by text or phone anytime and have local help if needed. Tropical Paradise is located just down the beach from Shannas Cove Resort and restaurant. It is a 5 star restaurant! Reservations are required for dinner, but you can drop in for breakfast and lunch up to 4pm. Tropical Paradise is totally equipped for cooking at home if you choose to catch your own fish or run across a local fisherman that may have had a good day. My housekeeper can also help find you fresh fish and veggies in season. You can bring in some food yourself for personal use, just check on what is allowed ahead of time. There are 4 markets on the island where you can buy basics items and frozen meats. The boat comes in on Thursday so the best shopping is on Fridays. There is a farm that sells local produce during season about 10miles away. There are several car rentals on the north end of the island and you should plan to have a car for at least a day or two to explore the island. It is only 48 miles long but it takes a while to explore. Give yourself at least one day for that and check out the Regatta site for great food on the beach. Mt Alvernia is where the Hermitage is located and it is a very interesting hike up to the highest spot in the Bahamas the views are breathtaking not to mention how cool the Hermitage itself is. Tropical Paradise is located approximately 30 miles from New Bight Airport and 6 miles from Arthur’s Town Airport. At this date New Bight is the only Airport with commercial service. Sky Bahamas, Western, and Pineapple fly into New Bight from Nassau. Silver Wings is suppose to start service to New Bight starting in February from Ft Lauderdale. I recommend renting a car for your stay. Taxi’s are running about $30 per person and you can rent a car for $50 a day if you rent for 1 week.
