“El Refugio” situated in the heart of the village of La Parva, with panoramic views of the Andes Mountain Range and Santiago. The Chalet was built in 1966 by one of the founders of La Parva’s first ski school and ski shop. The number of rooms depends on the number of guests. The space LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! One of the great features of this chalet is the proximity to the slopes. You can put your skis in the front door and ski to the lift. The Chalet features spectacular views East and West of the Andes Mountains. Enjoy the beautiful and ever changing sunsets by the fireplace. After a day on the slopes, return to “EL Refugio” for all the comforts surrounding a private home. You can enjoy the most beautiful sunsets and the night lights of Santiago from the balcony or by the fireplace inside the living room area. The views all around the chalet offer dramatic sunsets and moon-rises! “El Refugio” is a two story ski chalet. On the upper floor the Chalet has one Master bedroom with a small fire place, a large bathroom and a beautiful view to the west. And two more bedrooms with Bunk/ beds and full bathroom. The living/dining room has a fireplace, and large balcony. The kitchen includes all appliances, cooking utensils, glassware, cutlery dinnerware and serving dishes. It features an Informal dining area as well. On the lower level there is a ski room/bodega, another bedroom with 2 beds and private bathroom; and a separate apartment which sleeps four people and includes a private kitchen, full bathroom, fireplace and private entrance. It can be closed off from the main house as a self-contained apartment, or it can be rented in combination with the main house lodging a total of twelve people. Guest access The entire chalet. Other things to note The chalet is decorated with all original art work by international artist Robin Mols. This is one of the most charismatic and historical places in La Parva. The chalet is privately owned by two generations of ski champions. In the seventies, Cecilia Braithwaite was Chile’s National Champion and Latin American GS champion. Her son Alexis Racloz, who grew up skiing from this chalet, was also National Champion and member of Chile’s Olympic Ski Team (Albertville, France) 1992 and (Lillehammer Norway) in 1994.
