Relaxed bungalow in private woodland surrounded by nature offering the beautiful Atlantic coast to soak up & enjoy the sun. There's Halahin River which is the border between the Gambia & Senegal, just behind the village Kartong. It’s a lovely walk along the road to the Kartong village, a reptile farm on your doorstep (walking distance), a couple of local restaurants offering food & an Eco Lodge 2min away that has a restaurant and bar on site. The property is solar powered for lights and fans. The space A chill spot for you to enjoy nature, especially waving palm trees, birds, the sea/ocean and Halahin River. Things you can do: 1) Enjoy the Halahin river on a boat or canoe and watch birds, crocodiles, oysters that grow there and the beautiful nature 2) Djembe lessons 3) Visit the snake/reptile farm (thats a 5min walk from the farm 4) Visit the crocodile pool Folonko in Kartong 5) Make a day trip to Senegal, for example to Fatala Zoo 6) Visit the fish landing site, for a view of the days catch in Kartong, where you can buy fresh fish. 7)Have your hair braided 8) Nearby Georgina's bar and restaurant is walking distance (200mtrs) from the farm. There are also various other establishments offering food options. 9)In February every year, there is a cultural festival in Kartong. Performance ranges from cultural music, cultural dance, fire dance etc.For more info & dates see African Linx website. 10) And of course, relax at the beach, swim, surf, have long beach walks, catch your own dinner by the river. Guest access Woodlands with various fruit trees, a communal round shelter to relax in and take the views. You are welcome to help yourselves to some of the fruits growing on the farm when in season (oranges, mangoes ) on request.
