A gorgeous 2 bedroom self contained garden cottage located in the corner of our 28 acre property situated in a Golf and Wildlife gated estate. 30 min from Kilimanjaro Airport & 45 from Arusha Town. Stunning, peaceful & secure location from which to unwind. Walk amongst wildlife & natural fauna, incredible birdlife as well as resident bushbabies which come for feeding each evening, watch polo or play a round of golf. Spectacular views of both Mt Kilimanjaro and Mt Meru from the property. There are three self contained self-catering cottages on the property available for holidays stays, Bushbaby Cottage , Bibi's Cottage and The Stables incase you want to extend the group. Bushbaby Cottage is a stand alone cottage with its private garden offers a secluded and comfortable place to call home away from home. Two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms with walk in showers. The cottage is wheelchair friendly. Inverter and generator available incase of power outage. Self catering with outside seating area and bbq as well as lounger on the patio from which to relax, read and watch the birds and wildlife. There is a 4x4 safari vehicle and driver available for airport transfers, shopping, sight seeing and day trips to the Hot Springs, Arusha National Park and Tarangire National Park Access to the entire garden cottage, the main house where I live is located 50 meters from the cottage. This is a private house, although we happily welcome you over when we are there. Staff 24 hours on the property. Safe and enjoyable walks on the farm and estate. Polo Club next door is currently only open on a Wednesday for social fun field hockey. Kilimanjaro Golf Club is at the bottom of the estate and boasts a magnificient 18 hole coarse. Help yourself to vegetables and herbs from the garden, fresh eggs available from our chickens and shopping can be arrange on request. As little or as much as you like! The staff are at the house 24/7 so there is always someone available to assist as I work in Arusha. I will be happy to assist guests with information on things to do - book safaris - there is a safari vehicle and driver available for hire. Gorgeous area on a private game and wildlife estate. We are lucky enough to live in a conservation area where zebra, wildebeest, eland, gazelle, bushbucks and other wildlife roam free. We are a 1km walk from the Nduruma Polo club which is a open to anyone with a pool, small gym and bar which is open Tue - Sat 9am - 4pm unless there is a function. Join fun field hockey Wednesday at 5.00pm- Polo over the weekend. Kilimanjaro Golf and Wildlife Club located at the bottom of the estate boasts a spectacular 18 hole golf course. The estate is fenced and safe - natural flora and fauna - stunning views of Mt Meru and Kilimanjaro with the Usa River running down our NW boundary. Usa River town (6km) has supermarkets- Rotterdam and Leganga, hotels with restaurants - Rivertrees and Green Hills and the Arusha National Park about 20 minutes from the house. When at the house you can easily walk to the Polo Club (1km). But in order to get to the main road which takes you to Arusha you will need a vehicle - or go by taxi or boda boda ( motorcycle transport which is readily available and very common ). We are a 7 minute drive to the Usa River the nearest town with small shops and the main road where you can catch local buses into town. There is a 4x4 safari vehicle and driver available for hire for airport transfers $40 - town trips - sight seeing day trips to nearby national parks etc $60+ . If you have your own vehicle safe parking next to the cottage. please make sure you stock up on groceries before arriving at the cottage as there are no shops within easy walking distance. The cottage is self catering so you will need to provide your own meals and keep the cottage clean. I can arrange for daily cleaning service at a small fee as well as laundry. Longer stays will have cleaning and laundry service once per week. The cottage is on a wildlife estate which offers incredible opportunities to walk up close to zebra, wildebeest, gazelles, antelope, tiny diki dik, monkeys, magnificent eland and the rare gerenuk. Miles of safe space to go running, walking and exploring. This is a self catering cottage. Basics will be provided to settle you in and I can do shopping to stock up for your visit if required. We have 3 very friendly loving dogs who will visit you at the cottage and accompany you on walks. We have a few cows, sheep chickens and geese on the farm, fresh eggs available from our chickens and veggies from the garden. If you are looking for nightlife (apart from the call off bushbabies and hoot of owls) this is not the place to be - though Wednesday evening is fun hockey and polo at the Polo Club and Friday night is Golf Club bbq and drinks - we are in the countryside on an estate with a small community which will warmly welcome you.
