Little Red Barn on Big Meadows

Located 20-25 minutes north of Spokane city limits, the Little Red Barn on Big Meadows is nestled in the foothills of Mt. Spokane. Enjoy Greenbluff in the summer & fall and Mt. Spokane skiing in the winter. The Little Spokane River is nearby, as well as many gorgeous lakes. The Barn overlooks the beautiful Big Meadows and faces breathtaking sunsets. We are popular for romantic getaways, special celebrations, family trips, and those seeking to escape the busyness of life and savor the quiet. The space The second floor of the barn is the guesthouse, and it houses an 800 sq. foot apartment containing a master bedroom with bath, kitchen, and living room with fireplace and a Roku TV. It is heated by radiant floor heating. The dining area is big enough to seat seven. Accessible only by a slide-out library ladder, upstairs is a dreamy children's loft with twin beds, children's books and a sweet teddy bear. The barn has vaulted ceilings with a cupola on top. There is a lovely outdoor fireplace just beyond the living room doors where one can sit on chilly evenings, basking in the warmth of the fire, listening to the crickets. The Barn was built to be safer for chemically sensitive individuals. We have two adorable sheep, Millie & Mumford, who live in our newly built Norwegian Sheep Shed. They are very friendly and would love to meet you! Please note that the Little Red Barn is listed three times on Airbnb, in three different configurations, depending on how many people are coming. Select the listing that matches your needs. We have the Little Red Barn classic for up to four people, Family and Friends which is for 5 guests and adds an additional bathroom, and Maximum Occupancy which hosts 7. Whichever configuration you choose, your group/ family will have the Barn to yourself. Guest access There is parking out front with a sloping path and set of stairs leading to the second floor. If needed, it is possible to drive up and park behind the barn to be on the same level as the living area if stairs are an issue. The basement of the barn is not accessible except for the additional bedroom, which is accessed from the main floor of the barn. Other things to note We are 45 minutes from Spokane International Airport; 1 hour from Silverwood Theme Park in Athol, Idaho; 25 minutes from Whitworth University, and 30 minutes from Gonzaga University.
