The Tea Cottage is a beautiful farm stay cottage located in the countryside. 9.5km from Karatina Main road to the cottage & 145km from Nairobi City. This tasteful cottage sits in the middle of a private tea farm overlooking the magical Mount Kenya. The location is ideal for both relaxation and outdoor activities. Come and enjoy the beautiful tranquil surroundings and get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The space The cottage is built within a safe secure gated compound. It is built as an attic design with a spacious attic room. It has 3 bedrooms all en-suite. The cottage boasts an open plan design with a cosy living room area with a fireplace and plenty of couches for all to enjoy. The kitchen is fully equipped with inclusive appliances and kitchenware for all self catering cooking needs. One of the bedrooms is in the attic with a steep staircase. Guest access The outside of the cottage has a veranda with more cosy seating available and an outside fireplace. We also have a phenomenal double story gazebo overlooking the tea farm & during the morning you can enjoy your breakfast with the view of magnificent Mt Kenya. Other things to note The bathrooms have hot water instant showers. SOME beds have electric warm blankets for those cold nights. Safaricom Wi-Fi is available. The caretaker lives on the property. He is helpful with incidental issues e.g. helping to buy basic supplies such as eggs and milk from the shop, lighting fires in the fireplace etc We do not offer the services of a chef so guests are responsible for cooking their own meals. However we have rules to be followed: * No pets on the furniture and bed * No pets to be left unattended * No using bowls from the kitchen for your pet * Clean up after your pet One of the bedrooms is in the attic with a steep staircase. The road is mostly tarmacked but some parts have potholes. The road is suitable for all vehicles.
