Quiet street, town beach and bike path nearby. Balcony for outdoor dining and relaxation. The space This is an airy and cozy 1300 sq. ft. house on a quiet street near downtown, Camden, ME. We have just completed extensive renovations. There is a one-room addition on the east side of the house that may be in use by the owners during your visit, but there is plenty of sound separation and privacy. It's just a seven minute walk to one of the prettiest harbors anywhere, with shopping, restaurants, galleries, theater, library, harbor beaches and hiking trails all nearby. Ride the one mile bike path past the YMCA to Rockport Harbor, the town library, Opera House or scenic Beauchamp Point. The Camden Snow Bowl is just a few miles away, as are trails for winter cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. Please note: this is not a B and B; it is a week to month-long rental. The roomy entryway of this furnished home features a washer and dryer and shelves for storage. You'll go down a short flight of stairs to the two bedrooms, a study, and renovated full bath. One of the bedrooms has a full-size bed and the other a twin. Each bedroom has a closet and a dresser or shelves for clothes. The study has a corner desk, small couch, and reading chair. Upstairs is the kitchen and one large sunny open room, divided into sitting/TV, dining, and desk areas. There is also an upright piano. Out the back sliding door is the deck, complete with chairs, a bench and comfy mattress, and a table with an umbrella for shade. There are books and games handy for vacation reading and fun. High-speed internet and local access phone are also included. The TV is equipped with Apple TV, which provides complimentary Netflix and Hulu as well as access to many other subscription services. The house is small enough to stay easily warm in the winter and airy enough to be cool in the summer. It is heated and cooled by two "heat pumps." A clothesline and large drying rack are available to help conserve electricity. Use this comfortable house as a launching pad for your Midcoast adventures, or just tuck in for a quiet stretch of rejuvenation. There are a several bike rental places nearby. The owners may also be able to loan you bikes if requested. There is a Concord Trailways Bus Stop a little over a half-mile away. The bus connects to rail or continuing bus service in Portland. There are international airports in both Portland and Bangor. Guest access Guests are welcome to use the entire main house. There is a one-room addition that is for the owners' use, but guests have complete privacy.
