Walk to the charm, culture and water views of Portsmouth and Kittery from this newly renovated house on a quiet side street. Huge yard for grilling and relaxing. Wake with coffee and a croissant at our excellent local bakeries or fresh fruit at Golden Harvest. Award winning dining options (Black Birch, Anju, Black Trumpet etc) are close by. Work off the fresh lobster with a hike at our state parks or a stroll down the beach. Excellent biking and kayaking nearby. Outlets are minutes away. The space We renovated this house as if we were going to live in it ourselves - because that's the long term plan. An open concept common area flows to a modern kitchen with tasteful shaker style cabinetry. Other features include an oversized, high-end sofa that is super comfy as an alternate sleep space, (if four bedrooms aren't enough!), a large brand new flat screen tv, new mattresses made in the USA (Maine in some cases) gleaming hardwood floors, new tile in bathrooms (one is marble). House has tons of windows so it gets great light, and views of the iconic church steeple in Market Square in some seasons. *Compact* washer dryer and dishwasher on site. Few rentals in the area offer the outdoor space we have - we were lucky to find a place with a double lot that backs up against a wooded hillside. Picnic table is ready for your lobster or bbq feast. Leave your car in the drive -- you can walk to the best of Portsmouth, New Hampshire and Kittery, Maine from the house! NOTE: This unit is the top two floors of the house. Guest access We do not live on site. Access is via the first staircase on left side of house that leads to second floor. Once inside the door walk up the half flight of stairs into the unit. If you are not comfortable with stairs, you might want to explore other options. Other things to note We take the public health situation extremely seriously (one of our parents is a physician) and have reviewed the enhanced cleaning policies suggested by airbnb to ensure we are doing all we can to ensure a safe visit. We ask that you be considerate with regard to Covid-19 when making plans to travel to Maine and follow state guidelines. We're all in this together. This property is unique in the sense that you will not easily find a property as conveniently located, with a yard that can accommodate spacial distancing as well as ours -- previous owners had the foresight to secure an additional lot to create a buffer around the house. Which is particularly useful right now. We have a cleaning fee of 150.
