The bus fare is 2.75$ and you need to have exact change in all coins or a MetroCard (the bus does not accept bills, only coins). The Uber fare should be around 18$. From John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) you could also take AirTrain + Q60 bus or AirTrain + E=>M train or the Uber fare is about 28$. You will have your own private key to your room.
