Our luxury beach getaways —in the Historical West Beach area— reside in a historical turn of the century building which retains the charm of the day’s bygone. The building has been lovingly restored to reflect Santa Barbara's ambiance, its array of apartments revealing both romantic and European styles. Our various spaces are complemented by luxurious details from Carrera marble surfaces, hand cast plaster, 10 feet vaulted ceilings and Waterford fireplaces. Nestled between the Santa Ynez Mountains and the Pacific Ocean on the Central Coast of California, Santa Barbara offers dreamy ocean panoramas paired with Spanish-style architecture. Santa Barbara is home to miles of stretching, sandy beaches. A few steps inland, and you’ll find a trove of blooming gardens, towering palms and lush parks. This gentle crescent of California coast, known as the American Riviera, connects breathtaking beaches, soaring mountains, verdant vineyards, elevated enclaves and eclectic communities. Apart from the apartment and private patio it features, our guests have access to a reserved parking space, which is rare in such close proximity to the beach. We do not operate like a hotel and therefore do not have staff on site 24/7. We do take calls during the business hours and through the early evenings. We are located in the best area of Santa Barbara, the Historic West Beach area, a high end residential neighbourhood, not on a commercial thoroughfare or adjacent to the railroad tracks or highway. Within blocks are a European deli and market, bakery and sandwich shop, three wineries and a grocery store leaving little need to leave the neighbourhood. In addition there are bike rentals, Segway rentals, peddle surrey rentals, a skate park, the Chase Palm Park with a merry-go-round and the site of a craft fair each Sunday that lines the beach boardwalk. The Santa Barbara Zoo and the Bird Sanctuary are an easy mile and half walk. If you are traveling to Santa Barbara by train the Getaway is two blocks from the train station and there is a car rental agency two blocks away in case you want to explore the Santa Ynez Valley wine country. If you are tired of walking, all of these attractions can be reached by a local 25 cents-a-ride shuttle bus that runs up State Street and along the ocean front from the harbor to the zoo. re: Business License and Illegal Operations There are hundreds of vacation rentals in the City of Santa Barbara, but another thing that sets us apart is that we are located in the Coastal Zone and have a business license to operate as a “Vacation Rental - Coastal”. The City recently announced that it will be shutting down short term rentals in the upcoming months. We have a "Vacation Rental - Coastal" Business License to operate in the city of Santa Barbara as we are situated in the legal coastal zone and pay transient occupancy taxes. We urge you to be wary when booking and consider the possibility that alternative vacation rentals may not be up and operating for your stay, if they are not licensed.
