Description
18th century townhouse within the bustling town of Saint Pons de Thomières in the heart of the Haut Languedoc natural park. A calm and stylish space offering easy access to nearby lakes, cycling routes, forests, wild swimming locations, mountains, and the Mediterranean sea. Walking distance to all amenities including resturants, bars, boulangeries, and supermarkets, it is a perfect base for families or groups of friends who want to combine relaxation with exploration. The space Maison de l’Aguze is a mid 18th century home that has seen many incarnations over the years. A former tannery, textile factory, and bank, it is now a stunning guesthouse situated in the centre of Saint-Pons-De-Thomieres. The house is centred around a grand marble staircase typical of the region. The spacious bedrooms all include a private bathroom and overlook either the Aguze river or our courtyard. The large courtyard and regal guest salon offer a space to relax over a coffee or an aperitif. A recently renovated rivate bar is at your disposal for enjoying a drink with family and friends. Guest access Guests will have private access to the whole house, including the common areas and the courtyard. We live on site in a private apartment, so will be available for any queries while ensuring your complete privacy. Please note that we will need to access the courtyard and/or garage to leave the property. We will only enter the house in case of essential maintenance, and we will notify you in advance. Other things to note While children are welcome in the house, parents/guardians are responsible for their safety throughout the house, particularly on the marble staircase, around fragile furniture, and near the large windows.
