Wheeler Cabin
Description
Wheeler Cabin/Saratoga Lake Come stay at our cozy eco cabin nestled at the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains. A great get away to connect with nature while close to many other attractions. The space Renown Maine artist, David Wheeler, built this log cabin originally as his art studio. We have converted it into an eco cabin with a modern twist. The cabin sits just off a back wooded road but faces Luther forest making it feel like you are in a secluded camp. This truly is a unique glamping experience. It features a compost toilet, two eco sinks(indoor and seasonal outdoor) and propane heated outdoor cedar shower. There is a seating area outside with a fire pit. During the cold months we have a brand new pellet stove to heat the cabin. We have created a space for the kid in you, featuring a wood swing, 8-track/record player, and dart board. The cabin has electricity, but no running water. We provide water for the eco sinks, 2 bottles of filtered drinking water(total) and 15 gallons of water for the seasonal camping shower(per 2 days) In the winter months if the temperature is freezing the shower is inoperable. We believe in sustainability and respecting the environment. We expect our guests to do the same when staying with us. What to expect: Linens, towels, shampoo, soap Basic kitchen ware Mini fridge Toaster oven Coffee/tea/ agave / milk Continental breakfast (muffins or pastry and fruit) Charcoal grill Outdoor propane stove with (2) burners Lots of info of our favorite hikes and kayaking, museums, parks, restaurants and nightlife.
