Guest Room 2 is a bright and spacious bedroom, located on the third floor, with beautiful views of the side lawn and the gallops at the front of the house, where the race horses work in the mornings. It has a superking sized bed (6ft), plus the option of a comfortable foldable small double bed (4ft), and has an ensuite bathroom with a shower. It has period furnishing in keeping with the house and is one of four available guest rooms. The space This is an old estate house, originally built in the 1600's and redesigned in the 1800's, supposedly by the same architect as America's White House . It was completely refurbished by its current owners in 2008. It is an old walled estate, situated on 114 acres, with 55 stables and 2 gallops. It consists of 3 floors, 8 ensuite bedrooms, four reception rooms, a large country style kitchen and a working national hunt yard. It is located on the outskirts of Rathkeale town and is a 10 minute drive to the pretty village of Adare and a 20 minute drive to Limerick city. Both Shannon and Kerry Airports are a 45 minute drive, and the car ferry at Tarbert (Co. Kerry) , which crosses on a half hourly basis to Co. Clare - home of Irish traditional music, the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren is only 30 minutes away. It is also part of the route of the beautiful Wild Atlantic Way. Guest access Guests will have access to the kitchen, the breakfast room, a private television room and the grounds of Beechmount House and stables. Other things to note The stable yard is directly outside the back door of the house, and horses will be out of their stables for most of the morning. In addition to the horses, there are four quiet and friendly dogs. This is a peaceful, relaxing and private place that is a comfortable family home, with plenty outside space for exploring. It is a five minute walk from the town of Rathkeale.
