Private Eco Friendly Beach House

Situated on a isolated beach at the base of Batu Payung and surrounded by the hills of Kertasari in West Sumbawa is the eco friendly Kekita Beach House. The traditional timber Sumbawa beach house and “Alang”(Gazebo) are nestled in relaxing landscape and lawns that transition to the white sand of Batu Payung beach. Kekita Beach House is ideal for families or group’s looking for an isolated get away , while enjoying an arrangement of beach activities at your doorstep. The space Imagine waking up to the view of Pulau Dua Islands in the blue waters of Alas Straight with Mt Rinjani Volcano and Lombok in the background. The Solar powered beach house is 160m2 two story facility with an open living concept. The upper level consists of 60m2 sleeping area with two semi partitioned bedrooms. 1 Queen bed & 2 single beds complete with mosquito nets ,ceiling fans, cloth hangers, dressing table/desk & daybed. The balcony is set with bean bags and seating for a more private relaxing experience . Ground level is the kitchen, dinning , entertainment & lounging area with 2 modern bathrooms & showers. A restored 100 year old Alang (Gazebo) has direct access to the natural stone landscaped seating area with a fire pit nestled on the white sand of Batu Payung beach. Food & Beverage The Kekita kitchen is fully equipped for guest use, including Ice boxes, with ice delivered daily. Groceries & Beverages can be purchased in the local village of Kertasari or Taliwang. We supply large gallon of drinking water and have reusable water bottles for all guests. Things to do Enjoy beach activities at your doorstep eg; Surfing, Paddle Boarding, Snorkelling, Beach Volleyball & beach walks along the isolated Batu Payung beach. Two (2) Paddle boards & snorkelling equipment are available free of charge. (Note most water sports are subject to the high tides and most surf spots are reef breaks ) Guest access Kekita Beach House is located in Pantai Batu Payung Kertasari on the west coast of Sumbawa . It is a 2.5 hours drive from Sumbawa Besar Airport or 40 minutes' drive from Poto Tano Ferry terminal. The nearest city is Taliwang which is 20 minutes' drive and has ATMs, shops & hospital. (Please note, Kekita Beach House is a 2km drive from the main road of Kertasari, with a limestone road winding along the beautiful mangroves to Pantai Batu Payung.) Other things to note We are striving towards being a 100% solar powered eco facility. The upstairs rooms are fan cooled only (no air conditioning) this area is well ventilated and quite cool. On the lower level are the 2 modern bathrooms. All shower and basin water is filtered & recycled to our garden care system. Shower and basin water is cool water only (no hot water) We have onsite staff, cleaner & gardener to assist during your stay, and 24 hr security. Staff speak Bahasa Indonesia with limited English. Bed linen and towels are changed every 3 days. For additional guests there is 1 double & 1 Single Tent (swag) available that can be set out on the Balcony /Gazebo or lawn areas. Accommodation is charged at an extra fee per person after 4 guests, with max of 8 guests. As Kekita Beach House is set in a natural environment sometime bugs are common in the outdoor areas on dusk and evenings, repellent is recommended. As the beach house is situated on the beach on certain months October -November onshore sea breezes can be quite strong during the day.
