The home is centrally located to many of the Park's major attractions: Yosemite Valley is 20 minutes away - Glacier Point is 25-30 minutes - The Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoia Trees is 35 minutes and Yosemite Ski & Snowboard Resort is located 8 miles away. Great amenities include easy, flat parking for up to 3 cars (a rare find that makes travel so much easier in every season). On the 1st floor, you’ll enter a large open area with two benches with storage — the perfect place to sit after a day out exploring to rest and remove your shoes and boots. You’ll also find a secondary living area complete with a gas fireplace, sectional sofa, and satellite TV. A guest bedroom with a queen bed and a hallway bathroom with a tub/shower combination is nearby. The 2nd guest bedroom on the 1st floor has a twin over full bunk bed with a twin trundle bed. Laundry facilities are also on the 1st floor. On the second story, you’ll find the kitchen, and dining/living room area with wood floors and knotty pine ceilings. The kitchen has granite countertops, knotty alder cabinets, a gas range, a refrigerator, a dishwasher, and a microwave oven. Enjoy the view from the large 2nd-floor balcony complete with a propane grill and dining table that seats six. The main living room (2nd floor) has a leather sectional, gas fireplace flat-screen HDTV/Blueray, and satellite television. The dining area table seats eight plus there are 3 bar stools at the island counter. Also on the 2nd floor is a third bedroom with a queen bed. There is a full bathroom in the hallway upstairs. Explorers Retreat is one of the best locations in the park with all of the features you need to make your Yosemite vacation a wonderful experience! To rent both sides of the duplex, look for the listing for Climbers Retreat (please note: these duplexes do not connect inside) Due to the size of our homes, there are no early check-ins and no late checkouts. Guest access We provide you with dishware, cookware, silverware, blankets, pillows, linens and towels. Condiments provided are hot chocolate, Folgers coffee and filters, sugar packets, cream packets, Lipton tea, and salt & pepper. We also provide dishwasher detergent, hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels, and free firewood for our Yosemite West properties. All our properties come equipped with propane BBQs, and we provide the propane Other things to note Flat, Easy parking! Hair Dryer Washer and Dryer 2 indoor fireplaces 2 patios, one with propane grill & dining table Snow chains are required from November through the end of April during snowy conditions.
