Our home has everything a family or friends traveling together would need to have a home away from home in Reykjavik while exploring the city of Reykjavik or nearby attractions. The house is perfect for a couple with 3 kids/teens (or grown up kids) or 4-5 friends traveling together. All beds are in seperate bedrooms. All three smaller rooms have a desk and a TV. The open living area on the lower floors offers nice space to enjoy time together in between traveling or sightseeing and the four bedrooms on the upper floor offer privacy for those that need. The kitchen is well equiped for all kind of cooking, from making breakfast and packed lunches to cooking a nice dinner after long days. The garden faces south east so it has the morning sun, perfect for a coffiee and breakfast on the patio on good days. There is a BBq and trampoline in the summer and bikes available for 3 adults and 2 kids. Nearby you can find many open playgrounds, nice walking and biking roads in town or the nature. All play areas on school lots and kindergardens are open to public after the schooldays end and in the summertime. Just 300m from the house there are 3 nice playgrounds and you can enter the nature in Elliðaárdalur within 5 min walking distance. We have a lot of kids toys, board games and TV’s for some family time at home before or after sight seeing around the country. You’ll have accsess to the whole house/appartment and the garden around. You’ll be able to use appliances in the kitchen and the laundry room. You can always contact me before or during your stay if you need any help or informations. The neighborhood is family friendly, nicely located in the middle of the Reykjavík city area but also near main roads that take you both downtown and out of the city in 5-10 minutes. Parking is easy, you can usually get a nice spot right outside the entrance. It is easy to drive around the neighborhood but it also has nice walking and biking paths. 5-10 min drive downtown Reykjavik. Near main roads that take you out of the city area, south, west and to Keflavik airport. We provide bed sheets and towels for all guests (5 people) and cleaning appliances for day to day cleaning and laundry. We also provide salt, pepper, oil and the some spices for cooking, tea and coffiee capsules for the Nespresso. During the summer there might even be some fresh herbs and salad in the garden. Wifi, power and heating included. We are available to assist guests through messages while they stay at our home.
