This is a house with the lower terrace level being rented on this site. The unit is 1200 sq. ft. It has 2 bedrooms, LR/DR, outside covered areas, bathroom w/ shower and full kitchen. Heat/air, ceiling fans, gas grill, cable TV, internet, washer/dryer, and sunroom. Also, an outside gathering room with eating areas and fireplace. It is very quiet and peaceful. The Everett Cottage, the lower level terrace area, can use the deck stairs or walk around the house to enter the patio and entrance door. The cottage is the lower level (which is featured on this site) is for your use. There is a outside gathering room with fireplace, lots of seating and tables for meals under the pavilion. Patios for grilling. Seasonal pool. We are available by phone or text. We live in the Main house Vanquility Acres Inn next door on the property. The cottage is located on a 10 acre farm with lake and awesome views of the mountains. We are located on a 10 acre farm with Nubian goats/chickens/ducks (this is why we do not allow you to bring your pet) with an acre pond for fishing. Awesome views of the Peaks of Otter-Blue Ridge Mtns. (8 miles north) Centertown Bedford (2 miles) with lots of charming stores, restaurants and grocery shopping. The Bedford Memorial Hospital (2 miles), in case of an emergency. D-day Memorial (3 miles south) and Popular Forest, Thomas Jefferson’s summer home (10 miles east), Lynchburg (east), Roanoke (west) and Smith Mountain Lake (south) are about 25 miles away. You need a car to get around the area and you have plenty of parking in the driveway or on the extended driveway. We pride ourselves in providing a clean, sanitized and safe place to stay.
