A beautiful pearl in the woods and by the water!

The cabin is located only 1 hour from Oslo and 15 minutes from Hokksund city. You can park 30 meters from the cabin. The cabin is "airy", with good views of the water. Private small beach, jetty and rowboat for rent in the summer. The cabin has charm with power from solar cells, and use of rainwater/collecting water. Wood burning. Inside toilet, the bath/shower you take outside :) Bring drinking water! In summer, various animals graze in the area. Recharge your batteries at this unique and quiet accommodation. The space The cabin was newly renovated internally and externally in 2019. It is new for rent on Airbnb in March 2022. Two of the bedrooms have family bunks: a small double bed below (1.40 width) and a single bed above. The third room has a double bed. There is also an open loft with low ceiling height, here there are two beds but it is not recommended for children because the stairs are steep and there is no protection at the top. The kitchen has most of the equipment. The stove and hob are gas powered. The refrigerator is powered by solar power, but in the dark winter time (October/November - April) when there is little power in the batteries, we turn off the refrigerator and use the outdoor temperatures for cooling :) The solar cells and batteries we have, withstand well with load in the summer months; that you e.g. charge multiple devices, are connected to wifi, operate refrigerators, and have lights in the ceiling. However, be careful with the power. We use rainwater as a water source for washing. And if there is little rain, we fetch water from the forest water. Drinking water must be brought and can be collected from a well pump nearby, see descriptions in the cabin. The internet in the area is unstable. But we have WiFi that works inside the cabin and on the plot. There is also a TV, this you have to "cast" to from e.g. Netflix or other apps on your phone. Take a nice morning bath and/or evening bath in the water by the cabin, or use the outdoor shower overlooking the water. There is no shower inside. The cabin is fenced, and it is important to keep the gate closed in the summer, as there are cows, sheep and goats grazing in the area. Garbage: there is no sorting with us. The garbage is taken to the nearest garbage container.
