Don't be fooled by misleading "slopeside" listings! This gorgeous 5-bedroom lodge is adjacent to Timberline's Winterset ski run — perfect for families. Outdoor hot tub. Large open floor plan, plus separate living area downstairs. Two gas fireplaces. Check-in and check-out times may be flexible with permission (such extensions are highly unlikely during ski season). Requests to book this chalet will be declined unless you have at least 3 positive reviews on Airbnb. The space This beautiful home is right on the slopes, making skiing easy for families with kids. Ski from the house to the base of the new high-speed detachable lift. In the evenings, walk 200 yards to the Timberline lodge for dining, nightlife and live music. The master bedroom suite is on the top floor by itself, with private bathroom and huge Jacuzzi. The Jacuzzi is under a canopy of windows with gorgeous mountain views. The main floor is a huge open space -- kitchen, dining and living area with 60-inch HDTV -- that can comfortably accommodate everyone. The main floor also has two bedrooms and a full bathroom. The house has a full-size crib and a high-chair. Please bring your own crib sheets. Downstairs is another full bathroom, 50-inch flatscreen, plus two bedrooms including the bunk beds. This chalet has a little more privacy than some other slopeside lodges, because you've got trees screening both sides of the lot, although there is another large house directly across the Winterset ski run. Total interior square footage; 3,389. The TV on the main floor is a Sony Bravia smart TV with Netflix app and other apps. The TV will also "mirror" your iPhone using Airplay. Guest access You have access to the entire house, with the exception of a small owner's closet. Garage not included in rental. Other things to note -- Minimum age to book is 25 years old. -- One dog is allowed only if you request and receive permission at the time of booking. No cats or other pers allowed due to allergy concerns. Unauthorized pets will result in a $500 deduction from your deposit per pet. -- Parking is limited to 5 cars, which must fit on the gravel portion of the driveway. -- There isn't a fire pit, and open fires are prohibited anywhere on the property. -- I require at least 3 positive reviews on Airbnb before I'll confirm a booking. -- Your housekeeping fee covers laundering sheets and towels, vacuuming, wiping down surfaces and dusting. It does not cover cleaning up a disaster zone. In particular, please leave the kitchen in good shape. Load the dishwasher and run it. Clean specialty items including crock pot, waffle iron and griddle by hand and replace in cabinets. -- No loose garbage in the trash bin; it must be tied in plastic garbage bags. Take out the kitchen trash when you depart. -- The cabin is located on a part of the mountain that isn't particularly steep, and the roads and driveway are plowed regularly, so a four-wheel drive is nice but not necessary -- The hot tub is great and it works 95% of the time. However, the elements are hard on outdoor hot tubs and they break down occasionally. In the unlikely event of a breakdown that can't be immediately repaired, I will rebate $50 per day that the hot tub doesn't work. -- The chalet is our family getaway and we use it often. Please treat it as you would your own home.
