Welcome! Love the whole house, professionally cleaned and sanitized. The upstairs lady’s bedroom is a three-quarter size peg bed for a regular size person or small built couple. ( not extra long bed ) You can enjoy wifi, large screen tv, all living space rooms plus a pool table in the game room. There's a nice yard, patio and front porch. You can rock away, watch the neighbors! Rental for three days minimum. This room’s guest shares (sometimes) bathroom in the hall. Have a happy time here! The space This is a Happy Place! Welcome! Gold House has: wifi, 42" TV, good cable, nicely landscaped yard, brick patio, sweet front porch, comfy chairs for relaxing, and the eat-in kitchen use. There's cupboard space for your food. I have RVA brochures available. Coffee & tea is always available. Please ask for other things you need. (Re pictures: A rocking chair and a wood chair are in the den instead of the red sofa. Sofa is cream colored.) The entire house has hardwood floors, plus the first level has random-width floors. Every room has crown moulding and chair railing, which gives an 80's home the feel of an historic house. The property is over an acre bordered by a creek, woods, and large old trees. From March through September you will find blooming flowers and shrubs. All season you can enjoy the old and stately English boxwoods. The Gold House home is twenty-five to thirty minutes from downtown, except for rush hour, twenty minutes to VA Historical Museum and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. You can go biking, running and walking along the James River, Cap to Cap Trail. Biking on the West Creek parkway is great. Guest access Guests have full access to public rooms of the home - kitchen, dining room, living room, and den. Porch has rockers. There is the pool table in the gameroom and a lovely patio with a picnic table. Bicycles and toys in garage. During your stay The interaction is whatever your needs require or request. I can give you directions and plenty of guidance, if you so desire. There is a kitchen drawer near the large window with plenty of brochures. Happy kitchen! My own space is an in-law suite on the south end of the house, off the kitchen, with an exterior entrance. I am sometimes present in the home, depending upon my travel schedule. I am always just a text away. Other things to note I, Linda, the female owner, live on the main level in in-law section. Guest accommodations are upstairs. I am very frequently away.
