The Butterfly

The Butterfly is an amazing little hideaway that lies on a quiet hillside within Green Park, Naivasha, near the Great Rift Valley Lodge & Golf Resort. It is set on a beautiful 5-acre land with breath taking views of Lake Naivasha, Mount Longonot and the Aberdares. It is a marvellous abode to take a break from the hectic city life and an ideal get-away for small and large families with children, or for friends who want to have a few days of fun in an oasis of peace and serenity. The space The Butterfly is a stunning newly built house with 4-bedrooms (all en-suite) that can accommodate up to 11 people. Its high ceilings and very large open rooms give the house a majestic appearance. The house contains many African artefacts and antique furniture. All woodwork in the house (kitchen, cupboards, doors, etc.) was made on site by young local carpenters and gives the modern and newly built house a beautiful old and rustic look. The very large main room of the house comprises an open plan living area, kitchen and dining area with a central fireplace and it leads to a patio. The romantic and cosy patio gives you additional space for relaxation and will keep you warm during the cold and windy Naivasha evenings as it is heated by an antique wood cooking stove. On the first floor, there is a wooden deck that looks down on the living area and with a beautiful view of the lake and mountain where you can relax, read a book or have your online business meeting. There is also a multipurpose room and a basement where you can socialise and that can serve as additional bedrooms if needed. The house is equipped with a modern and well-equipped kitchen (dish washer, microwave, etc.) for self-catering or to be used by a cook that can be provided on request. Guest access Guests can access the whole house Other things to note Additional services include: • Accommodation for a driver (or domestic staff) is available at no extra cost. • Supply of fire-wood. • A cook who for an additional 1’500 Ksh per day (breakfast and one meal). • We can provide you with locally produced goat meat, Kienyeji eggs and chicken, herbs and vegetables. • A fitness trainer can give you a one-hour training session, including Pilates, for a small extra charge of Ksh. 500 per hour. • We can take you for guided nature walks. • We can organise for you horse riding within Green Park
