The cabin is located in Huntersland, NY on 22 acres of family owned property that has been in our family for over 200 years. Over the years our property was a working farm and Maple sugar farm. In more recent years, our family has used it as a family retreat, with several other camps on the property. You will have this cabin all to yourself!!! Telephone, WiFi , 32" Roku TV(sign into your apps), NO CABLE . NO cell service at the cabin . We are a seasonal cabin, open May to October. The Cabin is Nestled in a small hollow in the Schoharie Valley which is located in the Mohawk Valley Region. You will be surrounded by beautiful scenery! You'll enjoy the sounds of nature, the wind whispering in the trees, you'll experience rare moments of peaceful tranquility!! At night you'll enjoy stargazing along with the sounds of chirping crickets, fireflies twinkling in the fields, owls hooting and the trickle of the nearby crick. Campfire space is provided, you can forage for wood on our land or buy it at a roadside stand, Stewart's Shops and Middleburgh Hardware have bags of wood to purchase. This is a one floor cabin only 500 ft², very cozy, perfect for a couple or single person that wants to get away. There is a full kitchen, full bath Room, full size bed, full living Room. Lots of outdoor space, walk the trails on the property or just sit, relax and enjoy the sounds of nature! We have Wi-Fi, Telephone, TV but NO cable or antenna. HDMI cable provided for your laptop, bring your fire stick, Roku, etc. No cell service at the cabin . No Smoking, No Pets. There's plenty of outdoor space here! There are 22 acres, a very large yard, a Campfire area is provided (first campfire wood provided, then you can forage for wood on our property or buy it at a roadside stand or purchase bags of wood at Stewart's shop or Middleburgh Hardware), there's a crick, a pond and trails that run throughout the property. *Just follow the trail up the Hill behind the cabin and you'll be able to follow the tractor path around our property, stay within the rock wall boundaries do not cross into any posted areas. You'll be able to let yourself in, we use store-a-key. *You will have this cabin all to yourself!!! ***No Smoking, No Pets. **There is Telephone, Wi-Fi, 32" Roku TV (sign into your apps). . No cell service at the cabin . *We do not offer a Washer or Dishwasher because our septic system that would not support them. *We are a seasonal cabin, open May thru October. *There are 2 other camps on the property that are family occupied at any time, we don't have a schedule. We do our best to be quiet, especially so if you request it. We have pets, we have campfires, we have fun!! Help yourself to our garden, if it's growing season. We may be here and the door will be unlocked for you or we use a store-a-key. We will let you know when you are booked if any of the family will be there. We are always available for communication through the Airbnb app, feel free to contact us at any time. Remember, it's 22 acres, there is plenty of space. Town of Middleburgh has many small restaurants and businesses. Nearby attractions; The Carrot Barn, Apple Barrel Country store, Howe Caverns, Old Stone Fort Museum, Bohringers fruit farm, Terrace Mountain apple Orchards, Green Wolf Brewery Co., High on the Hog Barbeque, Middleburgh Winery, Under the Nose, Grapevine Farms, Middleburgh Pharmacy, Scrumpy Ewe Cider, Valley Market, all within 20 miles. Beautiful rolling hills. Perfect spot for day hikes to many nearby hiking destinations. We have a fully stocked kitchen including a crock pot, Tea kettle, pots and pans, bakeware, if you need anything in specific please ask us and I can verify whether it's there or not. *Extra toiletries are in the utility room **Long term stays; we supply your first week of basics, i.e., paper towels, toiletries, toilet paper, then it's up to you to purchase what you need for the duration your stay. *Sheets are in a clear plastic bag in the utility room closet. Extra blankets, towels, are in totes in utility room closet. ** Long term stays, have garbage in black plastic tote to roadside, Thursday nights , for early Friday a.m. pick up. 4-30 gallon bags a week, all garbage must be in bags, you can separate recycling if you choose, but it all has to be in tied up garbage bags, even recycling and put in Black Plastic Tote. *The thermometer for the heater is on the front of it, just open the plastic door and slide the control to the desired temperature. *There is not a washer and dryer or dishwasher in this cabin, our septic system would not support them. *Feel free to take a walk around our property, just follow the tractor path up the hill behind the cabin, stay within the rock wall boundries, look for posted signs, do not go past posted signs onto neighboring property . *Campfire space provided, you may forage for wood on our land or buy wood at Middleburgh Hardware or Stewart's Shop or numerous other places. * Please don't forget to close all windows and doors when you leave the cabin for the day. *Please leave your muddy boots outside on boot tray. ***This is a Rustic cabin, it is seasonal, sometimes the outside critters get in!! There are mouse traps set up in the utility room, kitchen, broom closet, we check them, but you just never know when they're going to be active. *Fly swatters in the closet. *Please remember bug spray, tick season is all year. ** We are still following all Airbnb and CDC cleaning guidelines. *Cleaning is the act of removing germs, dirt, and impurities (like when you use a soapy sponge to wipe off a visibly dirty counter or stove top). *Disinfecting is when you use chemicals to kill germs (like spraying with a bleach solution). By cleaning first, then disinfecting, you can lower the risk of infection.
