Traditional Masai hut close to Songe, Tanzania

We are a traditional Maasai boma sorrounded by African bushland. We offer you the unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the beautiful Maasai culture and we pride ourselves for giving you a 100% authentic experience. We host you all-inclusive with simple meals of rice and vegetables, tea and bread and safe drinkinh water. We have great birdwatching here, do bush walks and are close to the Kondoa Rock Art Sites. We are roughly 400 km north-west of Dar and 450 km south of Arusha. The space We live amongst the Masai tribe who are very friendly and have a fascinating culture. We live out in the open, surrounded by beautiful countryside. Our home is a nice place to sit back and watch life go by or if you like to be more active, you can wander around the bush and if you are lucky spot antelope, mongoose, monkeys, tortoises and other animals. At night you might hear hyenas and leopards call. Guest access Our boma is a big place, containing about a dozen huts, which are all inhabitet by family members. You may use all parts of our boma. Feel free to wander around anywhere you like. There are fireplaces inside all of the huts which you may use, but since we cook all your meals for you, this probably won't be necessary. Other things to note Just be aware that we live a little bit wild out here and that you will not find any home comforts or luxuries here. However, you will get to experience a beautiful and threatened culture, from a very exclusive point of view, something that very few people get to see, and certainly not at this very competetive price.
