The space Let the sounds of the surf lull you to sleep at night in this one of a kind, open and airy apartment located in the popular and laid back Villas De Cerritos Beach complex. Half inside and half outside, it's pretty private, very comfortable, simple yet stylish, and truly the best of Baja living! This second story one bedroom apartment (one inside room and one outside room) is one of the best values in Cerritos! It's the top floor of a 2 story duplex home accessed by a spiral staircase. It is approximately 500 sq ft total, 250 sq ft inside and 250 sq ft outside. Guests really love the outdoor kitchen/dining/hang out area under the palapa. The inside space is ideal for 1 or 2 people, or an economical option for parties of 3 or 4 on a tight budget who don't mind limited space. It's more private than other similarly priced places in The Villas, where neighbor's homes are closer together, and often share walls and are located on a narrow path. Inside you’ll find- a queen sized bed, love seat (that's a double sized sleep sofa), a coffee table, 1 working ceiling fan, a ductless air conditioning unit, 4 bed pillows, extra blankets, curtains, 2 night stands with reading lamps, a large dresser, dimable in ceiling halogen lights, flat screen TV (no streaming services provided), DVD player, private DVD library, cool art, books, playing cards, etc. The enclosed bathroom has a shower, large vanity, full length mirror, hair dryer, lots of hooks and a window with desert views. Outside under the palapa covered veranda is a small kitchen that includes a small gas range and oven with four burners, a refrigerator, a sink, a cabinet and drawers, and a drinking water dispenser. It's stocked with pots and pans, dishes, utensils, a french press and a drip coffee maker, etc, everything you need to prepare simple meals. There are roll up reed shades along one side. I provide a small amount of basics to get you started, like oil, sugar, hot sauce, and salt and pepper. It also has a table with 2 chairs, a hammock, and extra seating on a long wrap around built in banquette. The spiral staircase to the roof is here (the roof has amazing 360 degree views) and there are views of the mountains and a peek a boo view of the beach from the outdoor kitchen area. This apartment has PRIVATE HIGH SPEED WiFi internet. I only use 100% cotton sheets, laundry soap that is free of dies and perfumes. Included with your rental are beach/pool towels and a cooler bag or cooler, beach umbrella, beach chairs, and boogie boards. The spiral staircase leads to the roof where there are amazing 360 views of the beach and mountains. It's the perfect spot for a surf check, sunset and sunrise viewing, whale watching, yoga, and star gazing. The roof access is shared with the downstairs apartment, but I rarely go there when I have guests (mostly I go to water the plants there every week or so, and I go when you are out). There are chairs and a table. Because of the open staircases, low side walls, and no back on the banquette seating, this second story apartment is unsuitable for babies, infants, and small children. It's probably ok for well behaved kids over say 5 years old or so though. One guest complained about the vibration from the ac compressors on the roof fyi. Well behaved dogs are welcome! You are responsible for cleaning up their messes . Only 1 dog is allowed in the apartment and must be kept on a leash while in the complex. Not all dogs can navigate the spiral staircase. Other dogs and cats live in and run around the complex fyi. Located in a quiet and secure community of small homes and condos a half a mile from beach, it takes most folks five to ten minutes to walk to there or one minute to drive. Todos Santos is less than 10 miles away or a 15 minute drive and Pescadero is right next door so it will take you about 5 mins by car to reach Baja Beans or the Pemex/Oxxo. Enjoy the communal pool, jacuzzi and seasonal restaurant on site. We have a staffed reception office and a night watchman. I have been a super host continuously since 2014! Please don't hesitate to ask me for help with anything! Guest access Access to the communal pool and jacuzzi. No kids under 7 allowed in the jacuzzi. And another adults only tub, but it's usually just warm, and in the summer becomes a cool pool. Pizza Napoli restaurant on site with good and reasonably priced salads, pastas and pizza and drinks. The restaurant is seasonal. It's normally closed Mondays and for a few weeks sometime during our low season which is August through October. Parking provided in our private lot. I might occasionally need to go to the roof to water the plants there. It's accessed via the staircase on the second floor. But normally, I won't go up there when I have guests. Other things to note Enter your exact dates to see the correct rate (they vary depending on the dates). Construction is expected nearby April to June 2026. My rates have been reduced at this time for the possible inconvenience. Be sure to let me know if you will be using the sleep sofa so that I can have it made up for you. Be sure to bring warm clothes! Long pants and sweatshirts are often needed in the evenings and mornings. Some times of the year you may also want a spring or regular wet suit for surfing. I prefer that the tv is only for watching DVDs (I have a bunch). But it is a smart tv, and I do have an HDMI to HDMI cable too, if you want to sign into your streaming services or connect to a laptop. Always, use caution in the ocean! Pay attention to the waves and current and what others around are doing, don't get caught in a rip tide. don't swim next to the rocks! Occasionally there are times when it's not safe to enter the water, including after big storms. Quiet hours are 10 pm- 8 am. The adult jacuzzi (no jets) doesn't get really hot, in my opinion. In the summer it's not heated but used as a cool pool (but the other one is). I only guarantee 1 working hot tub. Consider bringing medical supplies to donate through the Not Just Tourists program.
