Beautiful waterfront (not beach) home on Russell Island, Spanish Wells, Bahamas. Over 1700 sq ft, the bungalow is bright, airy and enjoys stunning ocean views. The home has been decorated with care. We created a small sandy area for sunning and built concrete steps into the ocean. Not included in our price is a $275 cleaning fee that you pay in cash directly to our manager upon arrival. We worked very hard to make this the best family rental on the island! Our home is kid friendly, adult friendly and dog friendly (some restrictions, contact owner). 2 Master Bedrooms (one with crib) have views of our waterfront so you can lie in bed and enjoy the clear turquoise water. The upstairs "Wardroom" has 4 built in beds with a view to the ocean on the south side of the island. The downstairs family bedroom has a single bunk over a double bed. All our bathrooms are stocked with towels, shower wash, hand soap, shaving cream, and emergency supplies of shampoo, conditioner lotion, toothpaste and toothbrushes. There is a bathroom next to the family bedroom with a tub which is shared by all. The downstairs master bath has a huge 2 person shower. Upstairs, the master and wardroom share a shower room but each has its own sink/toilet room. There is also an outdoor shower, a sink for rinsing sandy bathing suits and cover ups, and a laundry room. There is a great room with a living room area, dining area and kitchen. The kitchen has been stocked with all the equipment and tools you will need to cook a gourmet dinner and mix cocktails of your choice. We also supply basic spices, coffee and coffee filters, tea bags, flour, sugar, olive oil and vegetable oil. This is a courtesy and we may, from time to time, be out of these items. Please note there is NO DISHWASHER in this property as they tend to break down due to the salt air and minerals in the water. Guest have access to the house and grounds except the garage and owner's closet. Our home is what we fondly refer to as "staggering" distance from The Sand Bar, a wonderful outdoor restaurant and bar with a small beach. It was recently named on of the Bahamas top ten bars. Their Sunday brunch is amazing. Our property manager Candida will greet you at the dock and help you to the bungalow and check you in. She will arrive day of departure for checkout and help you back to the dock. She is available in case of emergency 24-7. Candida was born on the island and is very knowledgeable. She is also real estate agent so if you visit and decide you would like to own a piece of our paradise she will be happy to show you homes and building lots. Please feel free to tip Candida for exceptional service. Located in a quiet residential cul-de-sac on the north side of Russell Island which is connected to Spanish Wells via bridge. Spanish Wells is home to a large grocery store, several convenience stores, restaurants, massage services, a small gym, salon services and more. This a a very safe, clean island perfect for family getaways, family reunions, destination weddings and more. The public beach on Spanish Wells is beautiful and pristine with restroom facilities. Protected by a reef, there is little wave action and great shallow areas perfect for children of all ages. The bridge between Spanish Wells and Russell Island is perfect for daredevils who wish to jump into the ocean at high tide. The boat captains who offer charters are extremely knowledgeable about the best fishing, scuba and snorkel locations. Of these rentals we highly recommend Aqua Bliss Charters, Captians Gino and Jim have 2 boats depending on the size of your party and always have 2 people on board to ensure your safety and enjoyment. They take pictures and video throughout the day then provide you with a short video and all picture electronically. Their larger boat even has a bathroom. You can book on their website by doing a search on Aqua Bliss Charters Spanish Wells. You will need to rent a golf cart for the duration of your stay. You are able to rent carts from "Sea Life", known locally as Abner's, Johnny Underwood rentals and from Harbourside Rental. All are located at the docks near where you arrive and depart. We will assist you in making your reservations for this as well as for Pinders Taxi Service ($15pp each way) from North Eleuthera Airport. They take you by van to Jeans Bay Dock and then you transfer to their boat for the short ride to the island of Spanish Wells. You can also arrive via fast ferry from Nassau and other locations. If you are on your own boat, but want to stay on land while visiting, our cart can be delivered to you at your rented dock space in anticipation of your arrival. There are many options to dock including Yacht Haven Marina, Harbourside Rentals and more. We have tried to supply everything a family or group would need to have a comfortable and fun stay. We provide, paper towels, garbage bags, plastic wrap, aluminum foil, plastic baggies, dish soap, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body soap, hand soap, body lotion, all natural face sun screen (currently unavailable due to supply issues bit will be back soon), after sun lotion, clothes detergent and woolite for swimsuits If we have missed something please let us know as we want to provide every guest with an unforgettable experience. Our water is good from the tap but we have an eco-friendly charcoal filter water cooler and you are welcome to use that. Please just empty it of water before check out to ensure the longevity of the filters for all. You can use a pitcher and put the filtered water in the refrigerator for the next guests. Thanks!
