We're excited to welcome you to the peaceful, beautiful bungalow we've designed and curated for a perfect getaway, Windansea Woods. We're following AirBNb's highest guidelines for cleaning and disinfecting and washing linens at the highest temperature, to assure you a safe, comfortable and impeccably clean environment. So, come home from a day at the beach, fire up the grill, catch the sunset on the ocean view terrace, then soak it all away in the private hot tub. Rare rainy day? Curl up on the big comfy leather sofa, watch a movie, or read a book by the fireplace. This historic property ( site of La Jolla /Pacific Beach Electric Railway in the early 20th century) is surrounded by 6 acres of permanent open space. The property fronts on a paved path for bicycling and walking, so there is no street noise. And the two beach cruiser bikes come with helmets and locks. Guests have their own spacious covered brick patio, with soft lighting for the evening. Just a few steps up from the patio is a hot tub for two under a redwood enclosure, equipped with two soft terry robes and beach towels. An outdoor fountain offers serene sounds. For trips to the beach, you'll have two beach chairs, a mat, cooler, beach towels and carrying bag. Two new boogie boards add to the adventure and an outdoor shower will rinse the sand off for a relaxing time in the hot tub. This property is on a gentle slope. Guests enter through a short private path. Spend time on another short path up the hill to a secluded platform and bench with an ocean view. At the base of the property there is an alcove in the foliage with two cushioned Adirondack chairs and a small table, perfect for morning coffee or tea. There are two dedicated off street parking spots. The entrance to the space is secured by a key pad and keys. My delightful co-host Yassi is also available for help and suggestions throughout your stay, as a bonus she speaks Spanish and Farsi. The house sits in open space above a neighborhood of family homes between the village of La Jolla and the charming Birdrock district, and is a five-minute walk to Windansea Beach. There is a friendly culture on the adjacent bike and walking path. Car rentals are available near the airport. If you chose not to rent a car, there are some bus routes that can take you to spots in the village and around San Diego. You can also download the apps for Uber and Lyft for transportation . And if you enjoy walking there are places to walk within the area or a mile or two in and around the village. There are two residences on the property, the neighboring property has a precious 55lb 5 Year Old Samoyed Dog. She is friendly and gentle. She is either with her owner or at daycare during the day and sleeps indoors at night.
