The space Rest and renew in a fully private interconnected treehouse (2 structures) built with loving care for two adventurous and young at heart adult guests. - This is not a traditional hotel. Serenity is located on an old priest retreat site. The interconnected treehouse is located near the end of the main retreat house overlooking a trickling creek. - Guests have access to the 32 acre property with approx 2 miles of hiking/walking trails. SOUTH WING: - bathroom has a shower and vanity. Note: 10 gallon water heater. - Spacious screened-in deck overlooks a valley and a trickling stream 40 ft below. It has multiple seating options for enjoying the peaceful sounds of nature any time of the day. - Living rm has a recliner, loveseat, ottoman, electric fireplace and TV. The mini-kitchen for light cooking. - Kitchen comes with a counter top oven (lg enough for small pizzas) med. sized refrigerator/freezer, 2 burner cooktop, small microwave, large basin sink and faucet, tableware and cookware. The counter top is granite. - - Keurig coffee makers Kcups, creamer, & sugar provided. - Bring your own food/beverages. - Included in your guest suite are large floor to ceiling windows for bringing the natural light inside. NORTH WING: Bedroom has a queen bed (500 lb max weight) and a TV with cable. - Bedroom, 1/2 bathroom has a toilet+ sink vanity. - Cell reception can be spotty - depends on cell carrier/plan. - Basic Internet service is provided. - Hot tub amenity option- semi private. Schedule your use time, signed liability waiver required prior use - located in a semi-private pavilion between main retreat house and Graham's Treehouse. Swimsuits required. - Excellent quality tap water thru Rwd #12 (Not private well water). Guest access The property is located on a paved road and a gravel driveway down into the valley. Guests will be given a front door keyless code. (Watch for keyless code info in msg close to reservation date.) This code is unique for each guest. There are approx 2 miles of maintained trails, rocky streams, and ponds. Please exercise caution when enjoying the peaceful acreage in this rugged valley. Please stay on maintained trails and obey all signs. Trail maps are provided. This acreage is extremely secluded, quiet, and peaceful. It is nearly 100% wooded with old growth oaks, elms, walnuts, hickories, cedars, and many other varieties. You will find yourself renewed after experiencing all the valley has to offer. There are steps from ground level to the entrance and an outdoor walkway between the treehouses. The trail system requires some steps, and many up/downhill segments - some long and challenging. Note: Under Kansas law, there is no liability for an injury or death of a participant in a registered agritourism activity conducted at this registered agritourism location if such injury or death results from the inherent risks of such agritourism activity. You will be hard pressed to find anywhere a more remote and peaceful location so close to a major metropolitan area. The property includes 32 acres of old growth trees, hills, and streams. Nearby Leavenworth and Atchison have a wide variety of national chain and local mom and pop dining establishments. Communication note: due to the remoteness of the valley, connectivity with the outside world is limited. Please read and understand the following notes below. Internet note: Internet service provided not guaranteed to support streaming movies, video, & music. Wifi calling and video conferencing are usually successful. TV note: Satellite TV service provided by DirectTV. There is a dvd player in the treehouse. Phone note: we are not aware of any mobile carriers with full coverage in the valley.
