You will have access to other common areas within the house, including the laundry room. Location makes it perfect for longer term stays. The space Let me start by saying what my home is not. It is not intended to be the Ritz Carlton or a resort hotel where gleeful servants carry you up to your room as you sit atop a large satin pillow with the entire house unto yourself. And as much as I personally have always enjoyed staying at hostels, my home is not a hostel either. The experience that I am trying to create is the feeling of staying at a friend's house; where you have everything that you need to have a successful trip. While the temperature might be higher than you would like, I keep the price as low as possible. If you need your room to be cold during the summer then please do not book. I cannot be any more clear. We have a laundry room that can be available upon request. It is off limits unless you make a request. This is because a small number of past guests were traumatized by seeing dirty sheets in the laundry room waiting to be cleaned. We do +25 loads of laundry per week, every week, or more than 5 times the laundry done by the average person. Other things to note When I travel, I only use Airbnb. I don't go to hotels anymore, so you are making a great choice. You should know that there are many different types of Airbnbs. Some hosts only want a handful of guests every month. This is not my business model. I have new guests everyday. Some guests might choose to use the kitchen 10 minutes after I clean it. Sometimes they clean up after themselves, sometimes they don't. If you are looking for a place where you can bring a white glove and rub it on every flat surface and leave with an even cleaner white glove then when you started - then I am not the host for you. No doubt that there is a host in Harrisburg for you, but that expectation simply is not possible for me to meet without having a cleaning team on duty 24/7. Air conditioning: there is central air conditioning in the home. We keep the air conditioning at 68F during the warmer months. Some guests have mentioned being too warm and some guests have even asked for an extra blanket. In both cases, I will do everything in my power to accommodate you. Parking: Harrisburg is not a parking friendly city. The good news is that if you park where I explain in the check-in instructions, you will not be towed or ticketed and you will be very close to the back entrance of the property.
