El Nido "the nest" is our little beach house. Perfect for a couple. Cozy for up to 3. One lot back from the beach, this two-story bungalow is conveniently located between the village and hotels. Just a few steps from the black Pacific sands, our breezy beach reprieve is an ideal setting for relaxation, surf, yoga or diving into a book. Open-air everything allows ocean breezes and the palm covered second story provides privacy while still having that open air feel. The space Literally only a few steps to the sea. Our little nest has shade from the sun but still open to the breeze, the bungalow feels something like a remote beach camp mixed with a seaside lookout. Perfect for a couple. Life here is slow, sunny, sea-filled, and simple. Its the perfect place to enjoy a surf, a cold drink, or a delicious nap. Everything you need, nothing you don't. We are not a luxury property but our guests love the simplicity and comfort of having their own private space just steps from the beach. Speaking of being at the beach, there will be bugs. We do our best to make you comfortable with fans, mosquito nets, and more... but please be aware that bugs are a thing at the beach and you might not avoid them completely. We recommend not leaving any fresh food out as ants move quick here! Downstairs Living Room/Lounge Area - The perfect location to relax on the couch and cushions, breezy hammocks or play cards at the table. This ground level area is completely open to the patio, yard, fruit trees, coconut palms, and garden making the whole property a shady outdoor room. Complete with cozy corner table to enjoy morning coffees and your tasty home cooked meals. ............................................................................................................................... KITCHEN- Breezy open-air kitchen connected to the lounge. Custom-fit cupboards, a mini-fridge with freezer, cookware and utensils, silverware, cups, mugs, and plates all ready for your use cooking meals on the 4 burner propane stove. We also have a water filter for safe drinking water. ...................................................................................................................................... Upstairs Bedroom/ "The Nest" - Ever wanted to feel like you're in a treehouse overlooking the palms and hearing the ocean waves? Make your way upstairs to your own private bedroom! Enjoy the vista from the full length breakfast bar while sipping your coffee, reading a book, or simply taking in the the surf through our palm trees over the quaint and colorful local cemetery. Take a hammock nap in the shady breeze and be lulled asleep to the sound of ocean waves or lay down in the queen size bed, in the security of a mosquito net and clean cotton sheets. If there are more than two guests than the queen bed will allow, we have a small futon that one more person can sleep on. ............................................................................................................................... Downstairs Bathroom - Enjoy a fresh water rinse under the shower after your surf or swim. The open air bathroom is part necessities (sink, toilet, towels, mirror and towel racks to dry your wet stuff) covered by the palm roof, and part open garden allowing you to enjoy a shower under the open sky or stars. Guest access Guests have the property to themselves. Other things to note There are bugs at the beach, it's next to impossible to avoid. We provide our guests with fans, mosquito nets, spirals, all in an effort to make you as comfortable as possible. We ask guests not to leave fresh food out in the open to avoid ants. That being said, if bugs are not your thing, El Paredon is probably not the best place to visit.
