Description

The Sonoma Retro Retreat is a 3 bedroom 2 and a half bath vacation rental in the heart of the Sonoma Valley. For less than the price of the local hotels, you can stay in a furnished, fully equipped home, with easy access to Sonoma Valley wineries. The space The Retro Retreat is a fabulous little house built in 1951 and recently updated for comfort and convenience with central heat and A/C. It is centrally located in a very quiet neighborhood just north of the town of Sonoma, with easy access to highway 12. We have an updated kitchen with new cabinets, appliances and granite counter tops. The main living room, kitchen and dining area is open, providing an extra large space for entertaining and relaxing with family and friends. A great space for celebrating holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, or just long weekends! One entire wall of the living room, dinning and kitchen area is glass, looking out on a covered patio and large back yard. The floor plan is ideal for two couples or a family. Two bedrooms, a full and half bath are in one wing of the house, another bedroom and full bath are in the other. The living room, dining area and kitchen are in the center of the house, providing complete privacy between the two wings. The Retro Retreat is just minutes from the Sonoma Plaza (2.4 miles) for shopping and dining experiences, and within walking distance of the world famous Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa. In just a few minutes, heading North on highway 12, you will visit dozens of the best wineries California has to offer. If you want to stay in after a day of wine tasting, dinner is a snap with provisions from Whole Foods or Sonoma Market. In addition to the new kitchen, there is a BBQ, dining table, chairs and lounge seating on the covered patio. Plus, staying at the Retro Retreat is a great way to save your $$, so you can splurge all that much more on Sonoma’s fine wines and dinning. Amenities also include DVD player and gas grill. 3 Queen Beds, one in each bedroom. Full kitchen, including refrigerator, range, dishwasher, coffee maker, and microwave; and all the kitchen utensils. Gas BBQ grill out on the back patio. Near regional and state parks, great for hikers. Day spas and golf course near by. Sonoma County Transient Occupancy Tax Certificate #947N Maximum stay is 28 nights. Guest access Exclusive access to house, back yard and front yard. Other things to note Sonoma County Transient Occupancy Tax Certificate #947N HOUSE RULES NO PARTIES. This is a NON SMOKING unit. Smoking is prohibited inside the rental unit or anywhere on the grounds. If there is evidence of smoking inside the house, a $500 cleaning fee will be charged. No candles or other open flames are allowed inside the house or on the grounds. PETS - Pets are not permitted in rental unit under any conditions. FACTS ABOUT THE HOUSE AND FOR YOU TO CONSIDER This is a home built in 1951. We have installed a new furnace and air conditioning. We have remodeled the kitchen with new appliances and have installed new toilets and washer and dryer. We provide all basics: paper products, soap, cooking basics (cooking oil, spices etc.), coffee and tea. However we want to let guests know this is not a luxury rental. Our goal as hosts is to provide a reasonably priced home for you as guests. We seek to provide the amenities that we ourselves look for when we travel and use Airbnb. We ask you to look carefully at the description and photos before you book with us. We ask that you please dispose of trash and recycling in a conscientious manner. Please rinse all bottles, cans and recyclable plastic items. Please place only these recyclable items and clean cardboard and paper in the recycling bin. Please do not mix trash and recycling. Please place them in the correct bins. We will charge a fee if we have to separate trash and recycling. If you would like to dispose of compostable materials in an ecologically conscious manner, food scraps and soiled paper products can be placed in the yard waste/ compostable bin. Please do not place anything other than these items in the yard waste/ compostable bin. Please do not move large furniture, such as beds, dressers, couches, night stands or tables. And please call us if you have any issues or need anything. Please do not write reviews or complain after the fact, if you feel something is not as expected. If you contact us we can either remedy the issue or explain why something is as it is. As stated in the first paragraph, this is an old house and expectations of new bathrooms or changing the layout of the home are not possible, unless we were to charge substantially higher rates. This is not a hosted rental. We do not live on the premises. We live a few blocks away. If you feel unsafe staying in an independent, free standing house in a neighborhood, please look at hosted rentals, rather than our home. RATE CHANGES – Until confirmed, rates are subject to change without notice. FALSIFIED RESERVATIONS – Any reservation obtained under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, deposit and/or rental money, and the party will not be permitted to check in. WRITTEN EXCEPTIONS – Any exceptions to the above mentioned policies must be approved in writing in advance. PARKING – Please park vehicles on the street in front of the house or in the driveway. Any illegally parked vehicles are subject to towing; applicable fines/towing fees are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner. WOOD BURNING STOVE – Note that during the winter the San Francisco Bay Area Air District may issue a Spare the Air Alert. If an alert is issued, it is illegal to burn a fire in the wood burning stove. Please visit sparetheair dot org or call 1-800-HELP AIR (435 7247). Renter is responsible for any fines incurred for burning wood on Spare the Air Alert days. STORM POLICY/ROAD CONDITIONS – No refunds will be given for storms. TRAVEL INSURANCE – We highly recommend all guests purchase travel insurance. If you wish to purchase travel insurance. SONOMA COUNTY VACATION RENTAL STANDARDS – Sonoma County has enacted an ordinance that covers vacation rentals. Renter must adhere to the following rules: • Maximum number of vehicles allowed for overnight guests is 3. • The maximum number of total persons, including registered guests and their visitors, allowed in the vacation rental during the daytime (7AM-10PM) is 12 persons. • All activities associated with the vacation rental shall meet the General Plan Noise Standards. Quiet hours are 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. • Outdoor amplified sound is prohibited. • Special events, outdoor events, lawn parties, weddings or similar activities are not allowed at any time. LIABILITY - The house is privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The owners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise. The renter agrees that all rental monies are non-refundable per cancellation policy and have read the rights to purchase travel insurance. By renting the property, the renter agrees to all terms and conditions of these House Rules.
