Enjoy a Farm Stay without the Work
This 3-room one-story apartment with private entrance is attached to the main 1850 farmhouse. Only 10 minutes to Interstate 84 and midway between New York City and Boston, this location allows for ease of access to experiences in the northeast. The property is set back from the state road (Route 89) and allows for relaxed living on a beautiful farm bordered by stone walls and wooded area behind. The three rooms are a kitchen with an attached bathroom, living room, and bedroom (with queen Sleep Number bed and a nice roll out folding bed). The kitchen is fairly well stocked for the ability to cook meals. The living room was the first library in Ashford and the bedroom was added on in the 1960's so has its unique charm. Plenty of backyard grass area to enjoy and the llamas are in fenced areas or paddocks for you to watch. And a barn cat that will allow you to respectfully pet her will greet you. Only restriction is to not go into any gate or barn door. Guests have total access to the separate apartment space with separate entrance. Parking is available for 2-3 cars in the driveway. Please let me know how you want your stay to go. * My visit is short/busy and I want to be left to my own devices. * I do not mind getting a brief introduction to the property and llamas. * I have time to have a special introduction to the llamas if our schedules are synchronous. This property is set in a very rural area with lots of open fields and woods to enjoy. Close to UCONN, Westford Hill Distillers nearby and on weekends the local farmers markets allow you to enjoy local faire. Local library, quickie marts, churches, and hiking within a couple miles. There could be Uber or Lyft or cab service (Putnam Taxi) as we are in a very rural area. This is a rural area and it is not unusual to hear or see birds, fox, coyotes and see bunnnies and woodchuck.
