The Westmoreland Lighthouse - Private studio in SE

We've dubbed this stunning, newly constructed detached studio the "Lighthouse" because of the way natural light pours through the 550-square-foot studio's many windows and dances off its walls and vaulted ceilings. An open loft offers soothing views. We are tucked into the Westmoreland neighborhood's quiet residential area, but are only a five minute walk from more than 20 restaurants and entertainment features. Westmoreland Park, Reed College and downtown Portland are just minutes away by car. The space Whether your journey to Portland involves work, visiting family or just seeing the many sights here, you'll find the Westmoreland Lighthouse the perfect place to stay. A backyard screened by carefully tended plants and trees guarantees complete privacy. The Lighthouse's interior, meanwhile, offers total comfort and more than a few interesting amenities. Hot water, for instance, is delivered from a tankless water heater -- an efficient and environmentally "green" feature. While only a few minutes walk from more than 30 stores, shops and restaurants, the loudest sounds you're likely to hear are chirps from the wild birds that flit about the property. And here is a 2022 addition to our space: Last summer, Portland experienced temperatures of 115 degrees. Unheard of for us. So we have just finished installing a state-of-the-art cooling system to ensure that our guests are comfortable year-round. Guest access The Lighthouse is yours and yours alone. Garden views and comfortable living spaces guarantee a memorable stay. A patio of hand-laid stone pavers, as well as the covered deck immediately outside the living area's French doors, are all yours. Anyone with a road bike is likely to find a pedaling companion in your host. Finally, we have what we like to call the smallest vineyard in Southeast Portland -- a single pinot noir vine that sprouted from a grape pressing on our back deck some years ago. We don't bother to tend the vine all that much, but we are avid home-winemakers and love to talk wine and everything that goes with it. Other things to note We applied for, and have been granted, the short-term rental permit required by the City of Portland. For some reason, this site does not allow us to cite our permit number.
